Diamine Evergreen Review

My most used ink... is Diamine Sherwood Green.

 

Here it is compared to vintage Sheaffer's Skrip Washable Emerald.

Hey! Just the comparison I was looking for! In the photo the Skrip looks a little darker and bluer than the Diamine. Any other input on Evergreen/Sherwood vs. Emerald? My bottle of Emerald Green only has a half-ounce or so left in it.

I was hoping for the next best thing to MBRG, but instead got something nearer Zhivago, but without the bulletproof qualities. I'm afraid that I wasn't that impressed.

Evergreen is a nice ink in its own right, but I do not consider it to be a replacement for MBRG. I'm still looking.

Thanks for your review. I've gone ahead and ordered a small bottle, mainly because of the results with fine nibs.

 

I have a little Jinhao 611 (fine, hooded nib) that I really like but I don't use because the inks I've tried in it come out about 3 times lighters than the same inks when used in other pens. (Dry, not feeding enough ink?) Hopefully, this Evergreen helps with that problem.
