because i seem to have nothing else to do, here's an example of FPN Galileo Manuscript Brown and some other inks on a standard 90g Clairefontaine Pupitre pad.

I'm interested in the pen you used for this sample? Is it a dip nib? Could you share some details on it?

Oh, also, if you have a "Red & Black" notebook, try the Galileo brown on that. I've found that my Noodler's that feather on Clairefontaine, look completely different on R&B (no feather and more vibrant color).

(I just did a dip test earlier today of the frustrating "Socrates" color to once more test that theory and it was like two completely different inks).

It was a dip nib, I forget which one, something like a Hunt 512 maybe. Substantially the same result with a fine, dry vintage waterman fountain pen too, though. With a wet writer, forget it.

The difference between this and Noodler's Standard Brown is huge.

Thanks for the info on the nib.

I don't remember whether this ink was so feathery... but I do remember it having a lot of spread and flow. Too flowy for my tastes. (I traded it off to someone who could love it more).

The label was great though.

Truly a glorious Ink. My son (also a member) ordered me a few bottles of this ink, before I joined this network. Very pleased, and thanks for the great review.

Did not find it feathery, but did love the flow. And so far have only used it a very Wateman's 15 eyedropper. Worked fine in that.

How could anyone not love this review? I'm truly impressed. As one who likes brown inks,... and being a lefty I'll surely give it a try. Thanks so much for your exceptional review.
