Hi Rosey,

Wow!  this ink is better than I had anticipated!
Same here! I am very excited about this brown ink!
I love brown inks and this one is going to be a daily user.  I also have a lovely little brown pen to put this cherished ink in.

Thank you Wim for the excellent review!

Well, thank you for your kind words!
I have already purchased my bottle, but like others before have stated, your review would be the "clencher" of the deal.  :D
:D

Warm regards, Wim

Dear Wim,

Great review as others have said, and also an excellent example of how a single ink can look so very different when coming from different pens held by one hand. We should remember that when we discuss how each of us "sees" any particular ink - the pen and the paper are very much part of the total equasion.

Thanks again,

Chris

I agree here, and this is exactly why I started doing reviews a while back with multiple pens. It also gives a better idea of what an ink can achieve from a shading point of view. These reviews I did first on a neutral fountain pen friendly paper, and now I included a few other paper samples. I´ll be looking into other papers generally available, i.e., worldwide available, for my next reviews, after I have recovered from this one of course .

I didn´t do water tests, but that was only because the thought of messing up the review was something I could not (yet) deal with - and too little ink really to try this out separately. :D Will be remedied soon enough .

Warm regards, Wim

If I hadn't already bought a bottle, this review would have convinced me to. Great job wimg!

It convinced me. I ordered right after I read it! Thanks for the really helpful and extensive review of Galileo Brown and of the 1 orange and 26 brown inks :o .

Thank you!

My plan is to add another page when the number of new or not yet shown inks warrants it. I am now up to 3 already :D.

Warm regards, Wim ;)

Oh no, I have no willpower. Another of your extensive reviews could be bad for my budget! <_<

But seriously, it's so helpful to see what colors look like in different pens -- looking forward to the next installment.

O, not too worry, for now I was just talking of a few more browns to add to the 26...:D

Warm regards, Wim ;)

I saw this newish noodlers in called Kiowa Pecan, and it's listed under the

regular inks section (not swishers) and it looks similar to the galileo ink?

Just received a bottle of this myself. I would call it more of a red than a brown, and I find it feathers on every paper I've tried, even Clairefontaine. Anyone want my bottle?

(it seems different from the description in the original review - I wonder if this ink was all made in one batch in 2006 and hasn't aged well? Or if it's made on demand, I wonder if the formula has changed somewhat.)

Good question. It's been forever since I've inked a pen with this ink. I think I'll break it out and give it a go.

very nice color, I would perfectly fit an Omas Arco or a Stip Eritruria

The ink is made 144 bottles at at time and there have been many batches. It's strange that you're seeing it more red and feathers. Anyone else see this?

It does seem odd. For instance, on the same papers Noodler's Walnut doesn't feather at all. (i like the Walnut very much, btw)
