Had missed seeing this topic earlier. Wow, love the look of those bottles :) Has anyone from the UK placed an order? If so, how much was postage. I'd love to get one or two of those inks.

CArrie, I just received three bottles of this ink, see my thread on the subject. I also posted a writing sample on the ink review board.

The Akkermans are here! The Akkermans are here!!!!! aaaahhhhhh! Happy Day! Was holding a luncheon up at my house and the mailman knocked on my back door. Signature required!! See! It pays not to sit in front of the mailbox! Still, I think my visit to the post office the day before was an indirect cause of today's delivery! All three of the inks arrived in impeccable order!!

Got numbers #13. #16 an #28!! Can't wait to post!

Thank you, Dave! Funny that the ink took longer to get to me here on the East Coast but the waiting was a fun adventure. The box was in such great shape, it looked like it had been shipped from next door. I've tried the #28 Holfkwartier Groen and it is simply divine--a lovely, vibrant green like none I've ever seen. My word!

I've got #'s 3, 23 & 30. I've written with them quite a bit, loving it, I'm really impressed with all 3, but still need to get the courage together for reviews, and expose my humble attempts to the scrutiny of this forum's esteemed members.... :embarrassed_smile:

Haha jokes, will do it sometime. These are probably the first ones here, or in the southern hemisphere, for that matter.

 

BUT first - the awesome bit of news - I will get to visit Akkerman, in person, next week!!! : :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01:

I happen to have a conference in Belgium, but planned my trip to include an afternoon in Den Haag.

I simply cannot wait. :puddle:

rockspyder, for now I doubt that anyone minds if your review is not as complete as some others, we just want to see the ink! At least I do, those swabs are just no substitute for actual written words.

Am so inept at posting pictures--and at taking them!! However, I really wanted to post since I so enjoy other reviews that people have taken the time to write, photo and post. I hope you can see the attached--the ink is out of this world!

Thanks so much for your kind words. Please pardon the double post on the Oranje Boven and the fade out at the bottom. I'm using a Nikon--even a blindfolded photographer has a shot with such a foolproof piece of equipment. Here is No. 13--Simplisties Violet.

I have #8 Diep-Duinwaterblauw and #14 Parkpop Purper coming, along with the Garuda Rood that WOBentley already got (I need that red for grading). Very impulsive splurchase, and you FPNers are to blame for informing me of those lovely bottles. I will try my hand at reviews with them too.
