What else should i consider under $100 besides pelikan m200, parker frontier and pilot knight?

The m215, while the same size as an m200 and a bit small for some, does offer a bit more heft, giving the feel of a larger pen. That would be my choice.

The Lamy 2000 is also under $100, and it's much larger than an m200. Many people love these. I've had three, and none of them suited me - the nibs just don't feel very good IMO.

The Taccia Continental is a pretty nice pen, especially for $64. I have also had good luck with the Lamy 2000 and I think you can get a Vanishing Point for under $100. There are tons of options (vintage & modern) at that price range.

OK, I am going in a totally different direction here....

Why not consider a really good vintage pen. Specifically either a Parker 51 or a Sheaffer Snorkel (Triumph nibbed)... either of these should be fairly easy to find in the $100 and under price and still leave some cash for new ink to use in them.

Benjamin McFerret beat me to it on the Taccia Continental, but there are a whole raft of very nice pens from Taccia that come in under a hundred bucks. If you like a metal pen, consider the SST:

Or if you like mixed metal and resin there's the Ta-ke:

If you like to grip your pen higher but hate threads at the joint between the section and barrel, there's the Imperial Portuguese:

And of course there's still that wicked cool Continental:

Nicer than the Pilot and Parker in what way? The look, the feel, or the writing?

Do you like a fat pen or a skinny one? (or in between)

Heavy or light? (probably light, but there are people who like some weight to their pen)

Do you have any other preferences, like how you fill this pen (cartridges or bottled ink, for instance)?

When someone asks for pens under $30, it isn't so hard to come up with a short list - but with a budget of $100, there are a lot of good choices.

Hello,

Danitrio, check winedocs pens, namiki VP, pelikan... pretty much anything in the marketplace on this website.

Depens, what you want

piston filler, converter, ink cartridge,

thin or fat barrel,

big nib or hidden nib,

regular nib of italic stub or other speciality

look at used pen for the best deal.

The new Bexley simplicities that Richard and Dennis both have are pretty darn nice. And that new Pelikan M200 demonstrator is also a nice looking pen.

A pen a day keeps the doctor away...

Parker "51" flighter; Parker 75 cisele; Conway Stewart Dandy Demonstrator; Aurora 88P chrome; Sailor Sapporo ; Lamy 2000; Lamy 27 double L; Lamy Studio; Pilot Murex; Pilot Sesenta (Red/Grey); Pilot Capless (black carbonesque); Pilot Custom 74 Demonstrator; Pilot Volex; Waterman Expert 2000 (slate blue)

Spend under $30 and get yourself a Waterman Phileas.

Or go vintage.

Spend $35 and get a fully restored and functional Esterbrook and enjoy a pen from the first half of the previous century!

Spend $75 and get the amazing Parker "51", Lustraloy cap, fully restored.

Spend $50 and get a great Sheaffer Touchdown.

spend $50 - $75 and get a restored Sheaffer Snorkel.

Spend $25 and get a great Parker 41.

Spend $25 and get a great Sheaffer Imperial with a Triumph nib!

Tooooooo many choices. For $100 you can have 3 or 4 of them! :eureka:

Another option to consider would be a Tryphon Clef.

Richard Binder (and others) sell these for about $75. You could get one of these and have a bit of change from your $100. Or you could spend a little extra and have Richard turn the standard medium nib into a stub or an italic. It makes for a very nice writing pen for just a little over $100. :D

Ditto. Go vintage.
