Any chance of pushing hard for the lucens celluloid? I really like it!

I think flexible will always be popular - but just how flexy are these Omas nibs? Well keep us up to date!

OK

BB nibs are a go, no problem. I also asked about flexible nibs, and those are a go as well.

Im checking on stubs, but as of now, BB, Extra Flexible fines and mediums are a go.

Cheers!

So... is this definitely happening?

The "wood" (brown) celluloid is gorgeous. And with a flexible nib...! I would buy one in a heartbeat.

I really like the lucens celluloid, too. That would also be a beautiful pen! My third choice would be the burkina celluloid. I am after something that hasn't been done before or, if it's a remake or reissue, something that is rare (very difficult to find).

Not *that* much. They have "spring" to them as I think some would call it. But not real/true flex and recoil like vintage nibs. But they're softer (as in the tines open under light pressure) in the way the old in house 18K weren't, yet more than the Bock 18K nibs.

It looking that way. Nothing is for sure of course, but its looking good. I still have not discussed prices yet, so that could be a big hurdle...

Cheers!

I hear a Grey Celluloid with silver furniture singing happy birthday to me :bunny01: :bunny01:

I wonder if the 'extra flessible' nibs will be available? Or did someone ask that already? in EF or course!

See n. 139 above. Bryant said 'yes' to Extra Flessibile F and M. I also asked about EF, but no word.

LOL, last year I bought the last two EF that Omas had in stock; so they'd probably have to have some made if they're so inclined.

ETA: A fellow FPNer forwarded to me the Kenro email about the 80th anniversary Arte Italiana Paragons. It clearly stated that those celluloid Paragons will be available with the Extra Flessibile F or EF. So it looks like Omas has those EFs back in stock. Hmm...maybe I should get some more of those. :roflmho:

It's interesting that they stole one of my pictures for their flyer. The picture of the seven old style celluloid Paragons at the bottom of the flyer is my picture. It was a pretty nice picture.

Well done Altec! Having your shot used by Omas shows both that they know quality and you know how to deliver it!

I'm pre-ordering one of each of these, each with the Extra flessible nib. Very excited! ANother outstanding Bryant project.

Thanks Bryant. So in the end, these look to be US market pens -- the ones you mentioned Kenro would do independently of what you decide/decided. No?

I own the first three celluloids already, some in multiple versions. Only missing the wood, but we'll see what you decide in the end about model, i.e. old Paragon, new Milord, etc.

Nice photo, I can see why. Still...go bust some heads at Kenro.

Some of those photos haven't appeared in the previous/current Omas lame brochure. But Kenro looks to have used that as a base, thankfully correcting one stupid error (mislabeled pen) while still leaving a howler in the text. They may have even stuck a new one in there too.

Interesting though to call it 80th anniversary of the Arte Italiana, which I think is more (or only?) a modern name, and citing 1931. Not sure 1931 is the right year, but don't have my books handy, doh! Simone on Italian Wiki, fountainpen.it is showing 1932 for the Extra lever-filler. Isn't 1931 the year the Wahl Doric was introduced? :roflmho:

Yes, they will all be US releases. The first 2 will Kenro and the last two will be my exclusives. I had the opportunity to take all three, but I really wanted to do the wood one, and I dont want to over extend myself.

I hope to do an old style on my last one as well, but we may end up doing new milord... Still working out the last one, but the first three are set.

Cheers!
