Yard O Led Grand Astoria

I've recently had my Astoria sent to get serviced for feed correction to remove the skipping problem I had. Now it's come back with a new 'medium' nib that writes like a luscious broad (just like my departed Pel M805.)

Did you send it to Filofax in the UK? I've just got a Corinthian which skips occasionally and I'm not sure that the inkflow is consistent enough so I'm toying with sending it in. What was the turnround time like?

Send it in! I had a section leak in a Grand a few years back and the service was top notch. Got a pen back that performs brilliantly and I nice note explaining what they'd done to it.

Went thru Filofax here in the States, so I don't know what the turn around time will be for you. Seems like it was about 6 weeks counting international mail. :hmm1:

I sent it through my employer, whose store I bought it from. Got it back in just over a week. It's part of the charm of owning a YoL.

But, yes, as GhostPlane said...happyberet.gif

Send it to:

Yard O Led

Suite 106, Jewellery Business Centre

95 Spencer Street

Hockley

Birmingham

B18 6DA

Turnaround is lightning fast (3 days for a nib swap back to my door).

What a truly stunning pen, congratulations and I enjoyed the review.

Update: I recently had to send it back for another nib fix: the tines flew apart after I removed what seemed to be some stringy gunk around the nib that only showed up under my new loupe. Now testing it yet again so fingers crossed it'll be as I hoped. So far, it appears to behave how I first had it; nice subtle line variation but with some mysterious wear and tear to the silver finish. Ah well, it's still a beautiful patina, even if it's not from my use rolleyes.gif.
