Interesting. In the vicinity of Noodler's Navy or Prime of the Commons, or even Aircorps B-B, if you diluted it (the Noodler's, that is).

Another unique, beautiful color.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

I wonder how practical/economical it would be for a modern manufacturer to make such a product.

Considering that ink is mostly water, it seems like it would help in the weight/packaging department

I haven't seen anymore of it popping up. Some ink tablets, like Gates, but no more of the Eagle. I think it would have a huge market.

Thanks for this thread - very interesting! I know that there is a gaping hole in my ink armoury: blue-black, and the colour of this is one of the best I've seen (prefer the darker mix). And sends me straight back xx years to a visit to my father's office - imagined or not, this colour represents (to me) a time gone by. Happy New Year.

I just got a jar of this powder a few days ago, I love it!

Congratulations! My original mixed bottle from original post (I added phenol) is staying the same color, flows beautifully. Have used it in a number of pens with no problems.

Was moving some boxes, and found that tablet that I wrote on in first post almost 8 years ago. No fading at all. Plastic vial I mixed it up in also holding up and behaving perfectly. Looks wonderful on Tomoe River.

One of the best inks I have ever found.

Beware of some of the links you may see on Ebay which are for empty bottles like this one.

Five of you were watching this eBay sale which I snagged today. https://www.ebay.com/itm/254432703023?_trksid=p2471758.m4704

One of you bid a tiny amount above my opening bid, but not near enough to get it! I had to make sure I got this item after sending a message the seller, asking him to open the top and verify if there was still ink powder inside, which was not in his description. He confirmed that it was full of black (ink) powder, which catapulted the value upwards. He assumed the only value was as a collector bottle. I knew better as a FP enthusiast what was the value of this prize. They don't come up on eBay very often, so I have added this to my collection of now 9 bottles of this exquisite ink powder. See my images posted above.
