Tom Bihn Field Journal Notebook

I want something like this, but I hate binders and I want something that is full size. A portfolio that held a single sheet for writing/drawing, with places to put blank sheets, completed sheets, and envelopes.

Seems like everything is intended to be elegant in a business setting so it's leather and heavy. I need something that travels well, and can handle being rained on.

Anyone have any ideas?

How about Tom Bihn's "Co-Pilot"? It looks like it'll travel well. Is it big enough?

OMG I did not need to see this. I've often drooled over the Tom Bihn knitting totes that all the knitters love. But I LOVE this with the ability to carry PENS with it (something that just doesn't seem as friendly in that Rat Pack organizer, although that looks awesome for other use, though I wish there were more photos and dimensions on their site.)

Hi, chupie --- I love Tom Bihn's stuff!! But I also have the PackRat. Here is a pic of it.

It's just the right size for running-around-town sketching IMO. (As opposed to trekking-into-the-wilderness sketching, where you'd also need room to carry the bear repellant and the tent.) The outside dimensions of the PackRat are approximately 7-1/2" x 10" x 2". It's very pen-friendly.

Can I answer any other questions about it? Happy to.
