I suppose I prefer a little bit of languor even with a ballpoint. If I'm jotting things sequentially, I'll leave the tip out (it's not an FP after all) and if I have to take it out of my pocket, i don't really mind the half second difference.

Different strokes, I suppose. Or different clicks, if you like.

Yes, and the point would be...? 😛

(says the Pelikan fanboi, who who 4 times out of 5 reaches for his MB ballpoint when he needs one...)

Those Souverän celluloid acetate stripes (as, for example, available on a Pelikan K400) are very nice looking, but I agree, they might clash with some senses of style next to a typical MB. A K400 in black resin/gold might look good next to a Meisterstück, if the click feature is what is really important.

Also, the Pelikan ballpoints (all of them, as far as I know) use a standard Parker-style ballpoint refill, so there are tons of options for ink colors with a Pelikan BP.

That's another issue with replicas, they copy the twist mechanism, but they do not fit the original MB refill !!!

So what is the point?

I looked into them to see if I can find a push mechanism, but others may want them to give the real one a break. But if they do not fit the original refill ....

(not mentioning those who cannot afford one, but still want to show off...)

Does anyone has or has seen a Montblanc thin, all sterling silver or, steel ballpoint from the 1990's?

I would like to know its name so I'll know more about its dimensions.
