Hi Francis,

If you've already sent the mail (around this time yesterday), chances are Bryan's already received it and will issue you the invoice in sequence as soon as he can.

I've noted you and Maja so far in this thread, so I'll check with Bryan later on if you haven't heard anything by Tuesday.

Sent my order in yesterday as instructed. No reply (it's been 24 hours or more), so I sent it again. With a request for an acknowledgement.

It would be nice if there could be some kind of autoresponder set up for these, so we don't have to guess whether the order was received or not. <_<

And yes, I did check my spam folder in hotmail. Also everywhere else.

Hi Bill,

As Bryan is doing this as a volunteer job next to having a family life, a job, moderator duties here on FPN, and likely a lot more, I would urge you to have a little patience, if you don't mind. Over the last few days he had to create many invoices, and handle a lot of mail concerning the ink, so I hope you do understand that things may go a little slower at times than you would expect from a purely commercial institution.

No ink has been shipped yet anyway, or ordered from Noodler's... We need a minimum of 80 prepaid ordered bottles before we even can go ahead with ordering from Noodler's.

Anyway, HTH, warm regards, Wim

wimg and Sidney --

I guess that came across in a way I hadn't intended. Being busy, having a family and having a life are not new concepts to me. That's why I suggested that an autoresponder would be a good idea. It would, without adding to anyone's workload, give us some confirmation that our orders arrived, and that they had not fallen into a bit bucket somewhere (it happens to the best messages). We are ordering a scarce resource here, and it sounds like if we miss the boat, we are out of luck.

I apologize for any unintended criticism you saw in my message. Yes, there was an "irked" smiley in there, but it was more about the frustration of not knowing whether the order got through or not. I realize FPN is not a business in a traditional sense, but we are talking about real money and real product, so a little attention to customer service would go a long way towards easing anxiety. This is also a virtue.

So I will go away now and shut up. Picture me patient.

Hello all,

Sorry if I appeared absent yesterday. Took my nephew to "hang out" for the day, and wasn't home. Sundays are my "Church Day", so no invoices were sent out today.

Bill, no worries, I understand where you're comming from and no criticism felt on your part.

Invoices will be sent out when I get off work tonight, (1:30am, ya, I know...a strange shift, but with eBay being global, it's 24/7 here :) )

I believe I have about 10 or so people to send invoices off to, so should you not have one by tomorrow, feel free to send off another email to me.

Oh, and Maja, I sent you an invoice, you must have not got it so I'll resend the original.

Thanks all and keep the orders comming, were doing very well!

Hi all, Shipping for two bottles within the USA is actually $6.05. I have sent notice of this too all those that have ordered two bottles, however if I missed you somehow, hopefully you'll read this and add $1.25 to the shipping costs.

We'll get this information corrected shortly on the 1st page.

Now I'm off to find an Admin.....

-Bryan

I received one of the earlier invoices, so I paid sans the 1.25 extra on US shipping. Would it be best for me to just do a separate paypal payment for 1.25 so it balances out? :)

Thanks!

If you can stand to wait a little longer, there will be a review up on the board before the end of the weekend, with a lot of writing samples...

Maybe next weekend then? :)

I suspect you are so busy you haven't even had the chance to start yet. But if you have, is the usual nib creep still there with this new ink?

Can we get an update on ordered bottles vs. paid for? Thanks.

Sent in for 2; now I need to figure out why I'm going to use brown ink!- Aside from all the snail mail to the FPN!

Tony

I went for the whole hog: :eureka: bought a Parkville Pen/Bexley Chocolate Ebonite Submariner with a stub nib just specifically in order to have a pen that would match this ink.

Holy cats! That's a $255 accessory for an $18 bottle of ink. Yes, I am a sucker.

No, I am not telling my wife what I did, and I hope she never finds out.

Gee, and I was just scratching my head and wondering if getting two bottles was too much to spend.

Of course, I have several well-browned Hard Rubber pens to use it in.

So if you have a lot of ink,

You should get a Yink, I think.

Well, that's very coincidental. I was considering the American the Beautiful in black with the rose gold for this ink ...
