Ca. 1920s button-filler. Very very nice fountain pen. Writes a fine. Replaced the ink sac and polished it up some. Purchased it today at the 2010 Melbourne Pen Show.

I love sterling silver. It is far more alive and has a depth, warmth and character missing from rhodium or palladium.

Thanks for reawakening this thread, Jar. Beauties!! I agree with your sentiments about silver pens. I have none, alas, but hope to some day.

Here are most of my Sterling Silver pens. There are a few more duplicates that I didn't show, and the Sonnet has been sold. Several of the Targas have matching ballpoints and/or pencils, and I just found a matching pencil for the Imperial.

And here is a Sterling Silver set that does not include a fountain pen. There was not an FP made for this series.

I bought this one because the Lalex insignia looks like the scales of Justice and I'm working in the legal profession. It is my main work pen at the moment.

Bit of thread resurrection here!

Have found myself strangely drawn to sterling silver pens particularly legacy's - strange because most of my pens are black !

I have a sterling silver pen on the way and will post some pics when it arrives.......in the meantime anyone have any further photos to post on this thread?

I recently bought a Sailor 1911 in all sterling, including the section. It's FANTASTIC. I have yet to put pictures up, as I'm planning to put it through its paces before writing a review, but here is a picture of it snagged from the Sailor's website.

I have quite a few Sterling Silver Fountain Pens, but I think this is the only one that I have a pic of. This is my Yard-O-Led Viceroy Grand Lined that I purchased last week from a dear friend; http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff451/ChiTown51/YOLandPortofinoFountainPens001.jpg

I used to avoid silver pens as I wasn't very enthusiastic about them losing their shiny appearance.

This is my first sterling silver pen and I’m still trying to overcome my OCD and enjoy the patina it formed as it is.
