Wow, this limited edition ink is just gorgeous, especially Yama Dori.

I would love to get my hands on them!

Just wondering, what pen was the sample written with?

The pens I used for the writing samples are:

Kin-mokusei: An Orange Marble Montegrappa Micra with a Binder 0.45mm cursive italic nib

Oku-yama: A Nakaya Heki Piccolo with a Mottishaw two-tone soft fine with added flex nib

Yama-dori: A Blue Marble Montegrappa Micra with Binder 0.5mm cursive italic nib

Wow! All incredible pens you have written with! I'm so going out to get some of these inks right now! :puddle:

Wonderful!

Many thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately I still have to wait a few weeks before they arrive in the UK to be sent to my German ink dealer to be passed forward to me :crybaby:

Cheers

Michael

I bought mine straight from Japan using this link that was provided from other wonderful FPN members. It was a painless, affordable, and FAST way to get these inks right away. As usual, no affiliation, blah, blah, blah...LOL!

I've placed two orders over the past month and got the "Note: Your cart contains items with limited inventory...the items may be sold out" message with each one. Both times all of my ink that I placed in my cart was actually shipped, (of course, I was sitting home with my fingers crossed, lighting candles, and saying novenas to whatever Patron Saint could help me get this ink the whole time...LOL!) I think they have to put that message there since it is a limited edition ink. It doesn't necessarily mean it is completely sold out.

The search for the perfect blue ink is a delicious and endless quest...

These three colors from the new Autumn 2010 limited edition ink collection have a gorgeous, subtle shimmer that make your words seem like they are gently glowing from the page. That on top of the exceptional shading each one has and how well this ink flows from every pen I put it in, has made me love these inks even more than my beloved Iroshizuku inks.

Kin-Mokusei has a bright orange shimmer

Oku-yama has a light green shimmer

Yama-dori has a red shimmer

http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt270/hockeymama13/IMG_2196.jpg

to clarify,

#1 is an orange with pink/red orange shimmer?

#2 is a red with a spring green shimmer?

#3 is a turq blue, with a reddish shimmer?

if one does a voice order, (that can be done on pc?) these are available to the US?

I got mine by emailing Taizo (Engeika) of eBay. They aren't listed on his site, but he can get them for you. Good, reliable service.

Same here! I love Taizo's service! I have triple checked all my bottles to make sure they have the correct names, Sailor part number, including the gray Yuu-chuushi color, and none of them have these secondary shimmer colors, nor can I find any of the listings of that beautiful effect which would be wonderful to find. Oh well.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

Mine don't shimmer like that, either, but I don't care -- they are absolutely some of the most beautiful inks I've ever tried. Yama-dori may edge out Ku-jaku as my favorite in that color range.

That's a wonderful picture! But I'm wondering, are those shimmer particles really ok for fountain pens?

Ha ha ha! I love these!

Ricky (AltecGreen) bought ten of the inks at Maido yesterday (Pen Posse), and when we went downstairs to the restaurant concourse, we made samples to look at the colors since none of us could read the Japanese. I ended up copying the kanji for a greenish/brown ink that I dubbed "kelp," and when we went back to Maido, the store clerk was able to read it (! score!). Probably I spelled it atrociously, not knowing the stroke order, but he said the name and nodded and got the ink for me. So I have one bottle of really cool ink -- I mean WAY COOL ink! But I don't know which one it is. It's one of the greens that looks like kelp (seaweed).

I love your samples and handwriting, too. I had not been interested in these inks until yesterday (*laughs at self*), so I hadn't looked at any of the Sailor LE Inks threads. Silly me.

Not only that, we tested it for water resistance before I bought it! CRAZY!

It's one of those disappearing inks, ha ha ha. But, dang, it's so pretty! (Deirdre wasn't convinced. About its prettiness. She preferred some, like, purple and teal or whatever, phfft. Ha ha ha!)

My Bexley Simplicity is inked with it, whatever its name is. I'm still calling it Kelp.

Post the kanji symbols. I have most of their LE inks and attached a post-it note to each box so I knew which was which. There are also ink "color part numbers."

Exactly what I thought. Ku-jaku is dying too, on my side due to Caran d'Ache Carribean Sea and Yama-dori.

If Ricky hasn't figured it out, maybe he can post a picture of his boxes showing all the kanji.

I'm thinking I might want to make a quick stop by Maido tomorrow if I go to the Punchline...hrm...

If my understanding is correct (debatable), Fuji Musame is a kabuki dance featuring the wisteria maiden - pretty much a Japanese Pygmalion telling. The color of the ink should be evocative of wisteria. I've had a bottle for some while now but haven't tried it yet to see.

Wisteria is my favorite flower, and I have vivid memories of childhood times spent playing among the branches of the Wisteria vines. This ink is the exact color of the big vine/bush in the middle of our yard, subtle and beautiful. The colors of individual wisteria plants vary from dark lavender to white, but this ink hits my favorite color spot on!
