Ebuygum Waterman

Recommended Posts

I was watching a NOS Waterman on ebuygum which had failed to sell for the second time. Seller had 100% feedback and appeared genuine.

Seller was within the UK so I emailed with an offer. It sometimes works and did in this case.

Seller agreed and sent Paypal details to which I then sent the funds.

2 or 3 days go by and then I receive a credit back into Paypal from seller for the full value along with an email which stated "sorry upon inspection the pen was found to be faulty but I think I can get another, I'll let you know. In the mean time I have refunded your money"

3 days have passed and I receive another email "I have managed to locate another pen but the price is now 40% higher, do you still want it" :yikes:

Yes right, I came in on the last banana boat B)

At least you got your money back

Did the seller send the offer through eBay or from outside the eBay system?

All emails were done through the ebay system.

I am currently discussing another pen with this seller which I will report back on next week.

I hope that the new pen discussion pans out. If not, consider reporting this to eBay since it is against eBay policy for a seller who makes an offer on eBay to raise the price after the offer has been accepted.
