Have this coming to me from a fellow FPNer. So excited to see this satin finish in person:

Very interesting in deed. How is this satin finish obtained?

Regards,

No clue, I just know it was a custom job from the original owner (I am now the third owner).

Just waiting for a 149 base to stand one of my daily scribblers in.

An mid 80's 146 which comes with 18k two tone medium nib. After I grease the piston, it works like a new 146.

I think it will be sand blasted for the satin look.

A 146 for my tiny hands, with a BB nib because I like TO MAKE A STATEMENT even if I have tiny hands.

Yes, I've been mesmerized by it from the word go.. ;) Unfortunately it was issued long before I started "collecting" fountain pens so I needed an opportunity to lay my hands on one. I'm happy there was one!

When I first found the snake, I was a young man who don't have any interest in collecting fountain pen. Now I regret that I didn't take it home at that time.

An MB 147 Traveller from the 90's with an EF nib, my first Montblanc--the first of many more I hope! I've always wanted one since I was a kid, but forgot about it with all the hype that surrounds Montblanc. Then I tried one again and realized how perfect it was! Sorry for the grainy camera phone photo:

Thanks for the nice comments, I feel so unworthy to have such a pen. In fact, I had it a month before I decided to ink it; I just couldn't get used to the idea. Now that its inked I think it might never be out of the rotation, even though some have told me they wouldn't make regular use of such a pen. The ink shown is MB midnight blue, and currently I am using Iroshizuku yama-guri.

If you ever feel that again, please let me make you an offer for this pen, or just send it my way!

Damn, what a pen! Congrats!

For sale: M625 red/silver, P395 gold, Delta Fellini.
