What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase?

I got a Marlene Dietrich and a 'signature for good' 146 or 145 (not sure which) from the last round. (2009ish? Or was it earlier?)

Not a long-planned purchase, but I got a very good price, so I couldn't resist. :)

Plenty of feed to clean, should keep you busy for a while!

Congratulations, farmdogfan, it looks lovely.

I traded a first born for this. Now, I just have to find someone with a first born.

I don't usually get to post in this thread because, well ... because I don't usually have MBs coming my way. But recently I acquired a pen that has the finest nib I've ever used, an early Montblanc 138 with a steel alloy BB nib. Here are a couple of pics; I'll post some others on the Stub o' the Day thread:

That is a gorgeous pen, and the ink complements the nib beautifully. Which ink is it?

Thanks for the nice comments, I feel so unworthy to have such a pen. In fact, I had it a month before I decided to ink it; I just couldn't get used to the idea. Now that its inked I think it might never be out of the rotation, even though some have told me they wouldn't make regular use of such a pen. The ink shown is MB midnight blue, and currently I am using Iroshizuku yama-guri.

I managed to snap up a 136 with original palladium nib for just under $300 a few weeks back - I have this with Eric Wilson at the moment for re-corking and cleaning out what looks like a long ink window. I'm looking forward to trying it out once he's finished with it :-)

Many congrats,

So you took the plunge.

Hope it will work in perfect order.

The silver shows some nice patina, but luckily has not oxidated.

It' is the Marcel Proust. It did have a few spots of oxidation. I gave it a gentle buffing. I still haven't filled it. Hopefully I don't have a clunker.
