Montblanc 149 medium nib laugh.gif

As a medical student, I make a lot of notes for studying as you can see from the background LOL

Initially, I was a bit disappointed as the flow was not always as smooth as I expected it to be...

Then, I tried changing the way I hold the pen & realised that it has a very narrow sweet spotwallbash.gifwallbash.gif

Now, it writes like a dream...

Congrats on that, enjoy!

I just can't stop chuckling at your username :ltcapd: welcome to FPN :W2FPN:

it doesn't hurt that the F nib is a semiflex ;)

...more kills the pen than the sword ... as long as the nib is very sharp ....

Here it is. A Montblanc 114p. I have anted one of these for a while and this one popped up on the classifieds last week...so I grabbed it. I have not inked it yet. It is in great condition. There are no discernible scratches anywhere, and it came with the box and CD.

Congratulations! I received mine as a a gift a few years ago. Maybe I would have never bought it, but I am really happy to have it in my collection now. It is a real gem. I have it charged with Oyster Grey, and it always a pleasure writing a drawing with my Mozart! Enjoy it in good health.

I won it for around 840$. Which I think is fair if the condition looks as good as it does in the photos. Now I've got my 2 grail montblanc WEs, the Dumas and Edgar Allan Poe. Perhaps the Einstein someday too but that's way too pricey tbh.

Thanks for your reply.

Sounds like you have a good catch. Last year I also got the Dumas and paid around the same numbers you are mentioning but in EUR :yikes: .

Hope it will arrive at you soon in perfect working order.

Finally i did get a 149, i think it is from the sixties (according to the dating chart), it even came with a (dirty) box which i think belongs to an older pen.

I am a little surprised by the size, it´s much larger than i thought, my fifties 146 looks allmost tiny in comparison, but i like the size and it fits nicely in my hand.
