Hi Kai,

Thanks.

Yes it is a 149 a F-nib. I am very happy with it.

My first MOP star and the details are just lovely!

Do I remember it correctly you also have a 149 75th? And do you use it?

Don't know much about the vintage MB's, but knowing you it definitely is nice pen!

Kind regards,

KJ

Very nice. I got both versions of the 75th 149. I have inked the rose gold one once only as the tarnishing is quite substantial.

Best regards, Kai

I missed out on a MB no.24 this weekend that I had been watching for a while. I fell asleep and missed the auction. ARG! I knew I should have esniped it before I started watching Medium! :/

They come up quite often. I have a 24 with an OBB nib. It is one of my best writers and it probably the one I paid the least for. Hopefully you will find one soon.

  • 2 weeks later...

Picked up a 256 from eBay recently. All that was needed to get it going was a good cleaning and a soak. There was a lot of dried in there. A bit of wear in the MB band and that's about it. It's working great. Still getting used to the slip cap on this pen. I still have a tendency to twist the cap off. There's a bit of flex in the nib.

A 50s era 144 with a BB nib! Found it on here and jumped. :)

(I have two 50s 244s, and now an 80s 144 and a 50s 144. I think it's an indication of my size preference. Is there a 344? You know, just to be OCD.)

If you find the time, i would love to see a picture of this collection. I have a 145 Chopin, which really does seem to tick a lot of boxes.

The vintage pens look great but i am not interested in flex, i have therefore stayed away so far... :D

Sure! Soon as they are all together again. The new 144 is in the mail, and one of the 244s is off having its cap bands re-affixed.

I hate to tell you this but there is a 344. It is slightly larger than a 342. I have a 3-42G (early 342) and it is one of the best writers I have. It has a great flexible nib. Just call me one more enabler on this board.

I really enjoy the 3-44 (is that the same as a 344?).

Lovely pen :) Never seen it before, what date was it made?

Thanks! This is a mid 30's pen. I think they were made in Denmark, not Germany.

Also, it's not a Meisterstuck so still relatively affordable.

It is the Diamond Classique FP ( 145 with a diamond at cap top). Bought on 8th March. Rather gift from wife on Women's Day.

Received this in the post today. I should be inking it up tomorrow to give her a whirl.

Beautiful pen! I have one too (with a crazy big B nib) and it's such a joy to look at and write with. Don't hesitate and ink it with a roarin' color!
