The iconic 149 and a bottle of winter glow ink.

I'm now eyeing a Boheme Noir... somebody stop me!

Nope! I just got one earlier this week. The B nib is springy and is a joy to use. It looks fantastic with tasteful trim on the resin and the retractable nib is just so darn cool. :happyberet:

The little things really count.

Wonderful! Boheme's are great; I've been looking for a full size in green :)

My wife just surprised me by reserving an Einstein for me. The local boutique says it should be here in about 1 week. For those of you that have purchased one, how do you like it?

Regards,

Mike

I haven't purchased one yet, but saw the first one to arrive at the boutique at South Coast Plaza! A beautiful pen! You will be happy. Perhaps your wife can reserve one for me....

Congratulations on your pending purchase. I've had mine for about 2 months now. I love it. Its very weighty and is oozing quality. I have a medium and it is silky smooth to write with.

Being platinum plated a large range of inks look good in it. I've experimented so far with grey, black and dark blue. I think the contract of a good blue and the silvery barrel is excellent.

The only slight negative I have with it though is that the grip section is metallic which can make it quite slippery if you are used to using pens with a plastic section (this is my only non-plastic section pen). This is only a slight issue and like any pen you find the best way of holding it so this doesn't prove an issue to me now.

My Collection: Montblanc Writers Edition: Hemingway, Christie, Wilde, Voltaire, Dumas, Dostoevsky, Poe, Proust, Schiller, Dickens, Fitzgerald (set), Verne, Kafka, Cervantes, Woolf, Faulkner, Shaw, Mann, Twain, Collodi, Swift, Balzac, Defoe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Saint-Exupery, Homer & Kipling. Montblanc Einstein (3,000) FP. Montblanc Heritage 1912 Resin FP. Montblanc Starwalker Resin: FP/BP/MP. Montblanc Traveller FP.

Thanks mate! I just couldn't resist this one, been looking for this nib for eons.

Kai, how does it write?

I also have a 136 with a palladium F nib that's soft and smooth, and it is bliss to write with.

I couldn't say the same for my 234½ P nib though... :(

Here's my war time 136 with a smooth Palladium nib. I particularly like the short cap top and the clip, reminds me of the 23x series.

Uhm...your left is my right, I presume ? (OK, I know what a 149 and a Boheme look like)

What I don't know is the green and black striated pen on my left. I'm very tempted to say it's a Stipula Etruria (mainly because of the clip and the cap band) but I have never seen one like this before. hmm1.gif

Hi Bob, I received the pen yesterday and have been using it constantly. Nib is like my other steel nib 136 - quite flexible smooth. Condition is fair, as the ink window has ambered and the nib is a little worn. Some photos:

No problem, the no. xx6 size is my most preferred size of all MBs.

Thanks! I didn't know there was this type of 136 until I saw it, and it caught my attention right away.
