Just bought my first serious fountain pen after some 25 years: a writer's edition G B Shaw. Photos to come in a couple of days, when i have received it.

Yes a nice pen with a look that is different than other pens.

And with an inkwindow as bonus!

Received my WE Charles Dickens today, happily surprised at how light it is. Was worried the sterling cap would be heavier than my Legrand Sterling Solitaire and or my 146 Stainless Steel Doue cap. thumbup.gif

A nice case for my writer's writers:

fpn_1357561672__mb-siena-3-web.jpg

Interesting... I thought I was the only person to clip the pen in the side of the case rather than the front which is recommended. To me it makes sense as the clip is not bent as much as it would going forward - also some pens, the Christie being a good example do not clip properly at the front.

I actually use side ones for my Startwalker MP and MP and simply leave a WE pen loose in the middle one.

My Collection: Montblanc Writers Edition: Hemingway, Christie, Wilde, Voltaire, Dumas, Dostoevsky, Poe, Proust, Schiller, Dickens, Fitzgerald (set), Verne, Kafka, Cervantes, Woolf, Faulkner, Shaw, Mann, Twain, Collodi, Swift, Balzac, Defoe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Saint-Exupery, Homer & Kipling. Montblanc Einstein (3,000) FP. Montblanc Heritage 1912 Resin FP. Montblanc Starwalker Resin: FP/BP/MP. Montblanc Traveller FP.

:roflmho:

I clip it the same way, because the front is much thicker.

I have the same feeling, at first I wasn't attracted to it but the more I look at it the more attractive it is. The swift is a great pen. It's a bit heavy though.

The perspex block was a purchase from ebay, I wish MontBlanc would give me one as a gift (they have a some that you can slant your pen on). Instead they gave me a box of chocolate for the holiday and ask me to come back for the Einstein.
