Just got myself a brand new 146 with a B nib. I am glad I went to a brick and mortar store as I wanted a 149. After testing both, the 149 turned out to be too big for me.

I think I saw that nib in the classifieds. You can be forgiven for that. They are so much fun.

I just received my first MB and I didn't have to buy it. A very good friend of mine had already given me his Waterman Laureat. Prior to that he had given me a Sheaffer Targa set (FP, BP, and MP). We met a few days ago for lunch. He handed me an MB that he said he hadn't used in years. I researched it and it is a first or second generation MB Slimline. It is burgundy lacquer over metal.

 

I'm still flushing/cleaning the nib but it appears to be a "F" nib; the other two FPs he gave me were.

 

He told me all three pens were gifts to him and he didn't feel right about selling them. None of his kids or grandkids wanted them. Since he knows I use FPs he gifted me the ones he had. He thinks he has more stashed around the house.

I own fewer 149's now than I have ever owned but they are breeding overnight I am sure :embarrassed_smile:
