Just snagged a platinum faceted 146 solitaire. Really interested to see how this pen feels. I like the size of the 146 but felt it just a tad too light for me - I have hopes that this will do the trick! Waiting for it to arrive...impatiently...

Thanks Sunnerd. Can't wait to receive the pen. Will probably send to MB for service and removal of the engraving. I trust that MB will be able to remove an engraving from silver. Alternatively it can always pay a visit to Eckiethump in Schotland. 322 blue marbled? Sounds like a very nice pen. Haven't seen a blue marbled one. Could you post a picture? Greetings, Mike

Hi Mike, this is the photo from the seller. The pen is still in transit.

I would be very interested in your dealings with MB service on removal of the engravings. My belief is that they won't touch those engravings as they don't affect the workings of the pen. That's what they told me when I asked them to replace the section of my Agatha (which was dented) and they refused.

Thanks Bry. To be honest I was amazed myself. I only ran into this auction 20 minutes before the end and got lucky with a bid within the last 10 seconds..... ;) Can't wait to receive the pen, but will only have it for a few days before it leaves for MB in Hamburg to be serviced and hopefully to remove the engraving.

Just picked up my 149 with OB nib. This is great pen and fits well in my hands. It came with Mystery Black ink and writes like a dream. Now back to writing...

stopped by at a local pawnshop in West Hollywood and spotted an old beat up MB 146 with missing snowcap and clip! Bought it for 40.00 dollars! Went straight to Bev Hills Montblanc and scored the cap/clip for a flat rate of 70.00 = 110.00 + tax! Not bad if you ask me!

Good luck! I tried to get an engraving removed on a Dumas, and they would not do it... If you ever sell it. Any time, any situation, you have a buyer here... :)

This fountain pen is my first Montblanc purchase. The folks at the Montblanc boutique were friendly, courteous, and informative.

This is the Meisterstuck 149 fitted with an EF nib and inked with MB Royal Blue ink. It writes smooth and holds lots of ink. Also,

the pen feels comfortable in my hand.

Nothing like staring at the top. I like Pen Woods already.

Just got a call from Montblanc Bev Hills stating they didn't have the correct cap/clip and will be sent to Dallas, Texas! Apparently, it's dated back in the 60's and the new 146 parts doesn't fit and Texas MB won't send the parts to Bev HIlls MB either! Now they want 145.00! I guess it's still a good deal!

- Just got a 149 with a 14K B nib a few days ago. Fabulous nib with some sweet line variation. I might do a review after I've had it for a while.

Got myself a 1464 and 1644 solitaires in barley vermeil. Kind of a dream come true in the "affordable" MB range.

A little Starwalker followed me home form the pen shop the other day.

I justified it by thinking that the owner deserved some business, since I had been in there browsing and asking questions for quite a while. Besides, it was a great deal (trade-in pen,) stickered F, but wrote like a Medium. Impossible to resist, once I wrote with it!
