My head hurts as much as my bank balance this morning

Anyway the original box for the 149 has yet to be located sooooo a suitable stable must be found. I always like the Parker Duofold (sorry) silver pen boxes so may have this one made a bit more suitable for 'big daddy'

I do like the piano black wood and silver metal work, now if they were gold plated..... when will it all end :roflmho:

The Oscar Wilde finally made its way across the country and here it is, along with a couple of Levenger inks (Empyrean and True Teal) at the bottom:

You made a good decision Pen Nut.

Stevesurf, the Wilde is very nice. Mine has stayed in the rotation since I got it. I just love the "big" star.

Very nice pens added here lately. Congrats to all.

I woke up this morning feeling like my 7 back up bottles of my favourite red ink (hitchcock) were not enough. So I bought 5 more. :P Hey, they're only 30 mL each ... that's not much!!!

Thank you! She has a Fine nib and appears to be "new in box", as advertised by the seller. I haven't inked the pen just yet, although I did bring a bottle of ink with me to work.

Way to go metal, PenNut! You have there a pen worth to stay on the desk of kings, emperors, sultans and pashas... I wish your gold 149 would give you a never ending joy just seeing at her, kind of king's pleasure, an emperor's calm satisfaction. My most sincere congratulations!

Beautiful pen, a lovely writer. Congratulations! A bit top-heavy in my opinion because of the metal piston knob, but a very good daily writer. The cap is especially marvellous.

I like to use a dark-brown ink in my Collodi.

Yesterday, I inked the pen with Iroshizuku Asa-gao, in my opinion a very well-behaved blue ink and, wow, the F nib on the Agatha Christie is smooth, wet, very, very easy to write with. This pen is rapidly becoming a favourite of mine.
