What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase?

My most recent addition is a ... pencil.

The Oscar Wilde MP, found at my local Boutique.

A fantastic retro design and an unusual (for MB) colour...

Greetings from Italy

OMG this is so wonderful!!! I find it amazing how owner's images say so much more than the stock photography. That said, here's a stock photo of my latest, 'cause I haven't picked it up yet...in Vegas at the MB Store in the Palazzo:

My last MB purchase was a very beautiful Solti with all the trimmings, from a fine gent here on FPN.

Was hoping I'd get the chance to hit the Columbus show this year and see if there ware the usual excellent vintage offerings about, but the rather "fluid" employment situation seems to be precluding that... :(

I posted earlier about my most recent purchases and finally got around to editing and uploading the pictures. I will spread this out over a couple of posts since there are a lot of pics. There are a few more that I did not take pictures of yet since they were bought on the way home.

NICE!

Can you please share some pics of the inside? Is there in the 2-penpouch a divider from bottom to top?

Thanks PBW for all your photos :notworthy1: :notworthy1:

Only thing that stirred me a little is the L'uabrac. Looks like I'm slowly healing over the MB bug :roflmho:

Unfortunately, there's no divider. I did the divider by myself. I do not wish to see the pens knock to each other or clip on the lip as the pen clip may get loose or the lip itself get worn. Here goes..

Thank you for the additional info and pic.

Hmm.. this one was definitely on my wishlist, but without divider I don't like it that much.

The looks are really great, but I don't like the pens rubbing eachother while travelling.

KJY,

That one was found by accident. We were riding around late one night looking for someting to eat and my wife saw a storefront with a MB sign and a Herman Miller sign. We went back the next day to see what they had and I wanted to look at the HM chairs. We walked out with the 149, a sealed Dumas set(wrong sig), a sealed Dostoyevsky, the Tribute with no box or papers(good price) and several other various notepads and notebooks. The price(<1K) that was on the 149 had me thinking it was just the special edition. I ended up opening it just to confirm it is a 1924 pen. That and the limited Garbo and Dietrich pens were the best buys on the trip, they were half off at the MB sale. We were told the Garbo was the last of MB's inventory, not sure how true that is but it is the only one I have seen in person.

GP,

I bought just about everything in B. Even the little 144. I never thought I would like one that small but the B nib made me buy it. It will end up in my daily rotation I'm sure.

WOW! A 149 1924 for < USD 1k? For that price I even wouldn't ask my wife permission.

Really nice story! Thank you for sharing.

I didn't.

She had that and the Dumas set in her hands before I got to that part of the counter when she saw what they were. For her it is as much about the hunt for a good deal as it is about the pens themselves.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I wanted to emphasize that it is really a bargain!

Maybe I should write: for that price even I wouldn't ask my wife for permission when I saw one like this.

I understood what you meant. It really was a bargain. The whole trip was full of them but this was one of the best. I don't plan to buy any more pens for a while but that could change if something good comes along at the right price.
