What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase?

Today I have bought 2013 organizer insert. At the same time I did exchange recently bought ink bottle - partially chipped neck - for a new one. Pleasant dealing as always.

They still have not got the new Florentine cases. :(

For me, the latest MB-purchase was the MB 146 Unicef with an M-nib.

Due to unexpected turbulences during our home-construction-project I still did not find the time to try it out. But to be honest: I am not anxious that it won't work the way I expect it ;)

Just got back from the Atlanta Boutique. I still do not have a swift set. It will be in on Thursday along with a Brahms with a B nib. I did however get a Toscanini donation pen and a Masters for Meisterstuck L'aubrac special edition. I will try to get pictures up tomorrow. It is wood with sterling inlay work and is quite nice. I was not planning to buy it but my wife said to put it in the bag. Who am I to argue. I'm going back Friday to get the Swift, Brahms, Deitrich limited edition(silver), Garbo limited edition(diamonds in cap), and a wallet and handbag or my wife. They really were very helpful and willing to do whatever we asked as far as getting pens to the store before we leave on Friday.

Got down to just one MB, my ol' Slimline that I bought new way back in early 80's...my first decent fp.....

Yes, I plead temporary insanity.....sold my 149s, Hemi, Dumas,Mann, Schiller, Morgan, vintage MBs, etc....just kept the Slimline for sentimental reasons...actually, sold a lot of my higher end pens after discovering I had $40K of necessary house repairs to deal with.... rolleyes.gif Fortunately, have recovered from that, so, was able to replace a few recently; 149, Hemi, Dumas, Mann.....:)

My goodness Specialk0449, that Platinum 224 is beautiful. I must admit, though I have stopped collecting, should I start again ;) it would have to be to collect these fantastic platinum MB pens. They are just so ......... :puddle: Congratulations. Any chance of seeing the pencil please? For me the pencils are so exquisite.

Yes she is!

I will say that if you spend enough at the boutique they are really nice to you. They bought my wife and I dinner at a really nice restaurant in the Lenox Square mall. All told we spent almost $22K today in the Atlanta MB boutique. That does include a couple of watches, a hand bag w/ matching wallet, and about 13 pens. They had a private sale going on and since we only travel to the states once a year this was our big spending spree. This does not include the almost $10K from other shops earlier in the trip. Needless to say I have a bunch of new toys and was even given a single pen case by the boutique director for my 149 Demonstrator. He said it needed a proper home.

That is incredible.

I would be wanting dinner and a "happy ending" for that amount of pens.

You will have enough pens to last for the next year

As I've said before, I've only been collecting Montblanc Pens for under a Year; but they are rather mesmerizing and a bit of a Drug, but what the Hell, the can't take the Money with You. However, you can't always get them to leave a Montblanc in your Top Pocket :vbg: I'm waiting for a Oscar Wilde Ballpoint to arrive......I'm beginning to think I do it, because it's like Christmas several times a Year :vbg: I'm sorry about them being Ballpoints, I know you purists advocate Nibs. However I don't benefit from using them enough as it is, if they were Fountain Pens; I'd never use them.

For those that stray away..........coming back is inevitable..........go with the Flow ( some Pun )
