You'll have to ask about shipping. I expect at least 40 Euro whipping to the USA, maybe more.

Had an unexpected buying spree today at lunch. My wife and I stopped in at a stationery store that we visit on each trip to DC. My wife pointed out that there was a MB pen case in one of the displays. The lady that was working came over to let me see it and informed me that one of their other stores that sold MB had closed and had sent them all the MB products that they had in stock. She admitted to knowing very little about what they had and asked for any input I could give. I was more than willing to tell her of my limited knowledge of the things they had. I ended up with a 147, a Dietrich BP, a Doue Solitaire Signum, a black 3-pen pouch, and an orange/red 2-pen pouch. She gave me a fantastic deal on them all just to get them off the inventory.

Good show, reads like you stumbled on a veritable Aladdans' cave ! A few years ago I stumbled on something like that downunder, and picked up some Burgandy 144s for some mates. I did not buy any pens for myself as I have a black 144 and a couple of other MBs. I was more interested in the MB leads, inks, cartridges, ball pen refills and mechanical pencil rubbers which well below cost.

^^Yes it is.

I had to actually see it in person before I liked it. The pictures just do not do it justice. I got it and the Dietrich at a significant discount at my regular shop. It was not a planned purchase, just one of those to good to pass up things.

I have to admit I am not a big fan of POA but that is a stunning pen. What is the current market value of that one, and how much discount did you get if I may be so bold to ask ? (I can't help myself sorry  ).

By the way, I think Gaius Maecenas was a truly great figure in history and only for that reason he deserves a POA. Super !

I got it for $1850 which I thought was a good deal. I'm not sure why it was marked sown but I did not question it. It is one of only a couple of POA pens that I really want. If I ever find an Elizabeth I 888 that is at any kind of reasonable price, I am getting it. That is my wife's absolute favorite pen. She held it in the boutique last year and has been talking about it since.

Sounds like a very very good price!

Market value in Euro is 2.000,-

Sounds like you two have a lot to talk about. I am most of the time talking to myself when admiring pens.

My preferred supplier (no affiliation just a very happy customer):

Appelboom

Same here talking to my self. I recently showed my small collection to some family members. Most praise uttered was for my Omas old style paragon Arco Brown. Not for my vintage 50ies MB

Awaiting arrival of a Schiller Ballpoint I bought Yesterday, from the Writers Edition; all Boxes and Paperwork included, came from a Private collection. That makes 7 from the Series, I don't know if I'll get them all eventually; I'm actually not that keen on some of them, so I'm just searching out the ones I like. So far Dumas, Schiller, Cervantes, Virginia Woolf, Faulkner, Mann and Collodi.

^^very nice.

My wife surprised me when we got to her brother house on our trip. I knew we had to pick up a couple of boxes but was not expecting the 2 sealed bottles of Racing Green ink that she handed me. She said they are supposed to be a Christmas present but she could not wait. Have I mentioned she's the greatest wife ever.

This spanish Montblanc from Wiese. This is the 24 model (button-filler) in celluloid.

A beautiful pen. Congratulations!

The white lettering is so bright and sharp, especially for such an old pen. Has it been "enhanced"?

No! Only white wax. It's easy to remove.

I'm waiting on a 22. Love the look of the nib. I was going to try and hunt one down at the Columbus Pen Show but it was only an email away and I am weak.

But on the positive side I'll have a 22 and I won't need to bring as much money with me to the Columbus Pen Show. Yep, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Take less money to a pen show, wait, I'm feeling weak again...

Edit: Wording
