right. I just had never thought of a non-stock nib for an LE and were thus limited to F-B (or maybe BB). A bit of a "duh"... of course you can do... moment.

Just curious... Does anyone have any experiences having sold (or bought) an LE with a modified nib? Did that affect the price (up or down)?

Got a set of MB #30 in coral red last week. Good cap imprints, barrel imprints are still quite visible.

Beautiful catch, Kai. I want a coral red 30 in my corral. Have a black No. 20 and a coral No. 25 so far.

Is it me or is that just the most attractive pencil ever? Just look at that shape, the wonderful original colour, oh and the way the cap/top tapers into the body of the pencil..... :puddle: Elegance personified.

Sunnerd you lucky so-and-so

No, it's not you, pavoni. And I can't help thinking that this pen and especially the pencil served as inspiration for the shape of the Oscar Wilde WE.

+ 1 that pencil is very well proportioned, one would pick it up anytime. Love the coral red colour too. Well done, Sunnerd!

More congratulations.

I would love to find one at a great price... rather than a huge price (since "great" might translate to "very large" :-). That seems quite tough to accompolish.

Price is a tough one. Not to the levels of Agathe or Hemingway, but still tough.

I will say this though. I sold my Hemingway and am trying to find one at a price, but this is a winner, inch for inch and gram for gram the best of the WEs. Really like the feel of the pen.

Congrats sarahfar! Proust is a beautiful and elegant pen.

However, since when Agatha is more expensive than the Proust? Are you referring to the Agatha 4810 version?

Best regards, Kai

yes, but I'd love to get my hands on the silver less expensive version, I don't know if less expensive fits so well, but yes.

Got this one today.

It's a 146 but I don't know the exact id-nr or version.

The cap says w-germany, so I think it is early 90's.

That looks like the Solitaire Barley Corn pattern in Vermeil gold finish. Very nice. I might have to get one too.

Well done KJY! I was eyeing on this as well at some point. That's one fine looking solitaire.

According to fountainpen.de it looks like karana would be right. Nr. 1465 Vermeil Barleycorn.

Personally I favour white metals, but this is very nice. clap1.gif

Well done KJY! I was eyeing on this as well at some point. That's one fine looking solitaire.

I got it by coincidence. Never looked for one like this. Yesterday I was visiting a FP-lover. He showed several POA's and some nice writers editions and some really nice books dating several brands (with hardcover and outerbox). Then at a certain moment he said you can have this one. It has been used (other POA's he even never dipped it) and I am downgrading the collection. So the rest is history.

Thank you! I checked the website. Those have serialnumbers engraved in the cap and a mark 925. I checked mine it is plain (like the second last picture on that page).

In the beginning I also only liked white metals, but after my first 149 with goldtrim I changed my mind. It really isn't that flashy afterall. :ltcapd:
