Just got my first MB this evening. A 146 platinum and a bottle of royal blue ink. Still thinking about changing the nib tho... is med or fine better??? Gill

Not a huge difference between the two. See nib writing samples in the pinned section. Best to try the testers at a boutique if possible.

that looks lovely Kai!!

Got a set of MB #30 in coral red last week. Good cap imprints, barrel imprints are still quite visible.

My Montblanc 24 I recieved on monday officially has me hooked on vintage Montblancs now. My latest purchase Is a Montblanc 14 bought on the FPN Classifieds last night. Now to think about which vintage Montblanc I need next...

The Highlander was a documentary, and the events happened in real time.

Six  And there it will stop. The pen case is full and I can put in a marathon writing session without writing all my pens dry. :cloud9:

OM, B, OB, BB, O3B, OBB - life is good.

Edited to add, I don't see much difference between the O3B and the OBB. Have to put them side by side, but for now, they're slick on the page and I am content.

A lowly 31 (well, compared to you multiple WE & 149ers, lol) with a MO nib (looking forward to that) and an MB Travel Case...slowly I seem to be getting more of this stuff - three pens now. Must be mad.

Might as well hand it over. :roflmho: Though not all at once.

Other than the B nib, none of my 149s were bought new, tho' a couple were NOS at greatly discounted prices. I'm a user, so I don't mind gently-loved. It also let me acquire a few 14kt nibs in the batch.

Yup, just did - bought another MB only a few minutes ago - a rather lovely 121 (four Montblancs now, blimey... These sleek, elegant 60s/70s piston filers are soooo hard to resist).

Congratulations. My 121 OB is a wonderful writer.

Agreed, I've gone from zero to two in as many weeks and am on the lookout for more. Enjoy them!

Thus far, I'm not too far gone (gulp)...so long as my addiction stays with the understated beauties from 30/40 years ago that can still be picked up for a song. But if I start wanting a 149 or, god forbid a WE...well, there's no hope. I do lust after a purple/violet/lilac (whatever the heck it is) Generations tho...

And very much looking forward to the 121 nib (18k...wonder if I'll feel the difference?) based on my M'stuck 12's nice soft little thing.

Oh I could totally get into a purple Generation. And I don't even like narrow pens. :headsmack:

The 149s weren't too bad. The least I paid was $357 and the most $550 outside of the new one, which was $650 back when I got it. Spreading the purchases over a few years, it wasn't too bad. It's all the OTHER pens I felt I just had to have that really added up! :gaah:

I just bought the most expensive pen I've ever owned--

A Montblanc 22 from yoola-de:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261067649050

How much did I overpay, if at all?

Does the nib look misaligned? Or am I just crazy?

Looking for a Sheaffer Sovereign II Gray Pearl with an EF nib.
