After much waiting, this finally arrived.

WOW! Nice. And do you like the finish? I was trying to buy a pencase (only 12 pens), but I have seen some pencases of various manufacturers with bad finish at the edges of the case.

My preferred supplier (no affiliation just a very happy customer):

Darius,

Congratulations! :clap1:

I wish you told me that you wanted this pen case. I saw it long ago at the MB Boutique next to my house. I could have had it shipped to you!

The finish is superb. It's lacquered wood, so it's quite heavy. Interior lining is some sort of velvety black cloth. The knobs are metal with the MB emblem. If you have seen the MB boxes for 20 pens or the wooden boxes of the POA and higher LE, it's quite similar in materials and finish. A pair of cloth gloves, a polishing cloth and a loop are included in the three small drawers at the bottom. So, I'm quite happy with it.

Is that for me?

It is MB. I ordered one as soon as I heard they were being made. That was probably a year ago, so it took a long time for it to get here. So long that I saw a few in the boutiques in Dubai before I got mine. I think they were released in boutiques in August/September last year, but in selected countries. I'll PM you the price.

Thank you.

Wael, I saw that in Dubai last September when I was there, but I have already ordered one, so I didn't get it then. I was also worried about taking it home with me on the plane.

Yes, I did. I guess we're even since you purchased the Dumas that I was vacillating on for days! I knew if I didn't snag the Dostoevsky, you would! roflmho.gif

Congratulations! Dumas and Dostoevsky are among my preferred WDE, each one with a very own and distinctive character. Please post some photos when you would receive them.

Went to my nearest B&M (and AD) last Wednesday. Was supposed to have some recent WE's in stock. They had. When I left, William Faulkner and GB Shaw insisted on following me home. Thomas Mann immediately claimed a return ticket for a little holiday in Hamburg, to be fitted with a BB nib. We wished him well and hope he will join us sooner, but I guess it will be rather later gaah.gif.

Faulkner has an F with a fair amount of feedback without being scratchy at all. Just right, and I will have to do some smaller writing SOMETIME, won't I? Shaw has a lovely stubbish B, so smooth it gives the impression of writing with a warm stick of butter. Barring Hemingway and Dumas, this has to be my favourite WE, for its looks as well as its writing experience. I am really pleased with this one. smile.gifbunny01.gif

Can't wait for Thomas Mann to come home.

Shop owner made the mistake of letting me test-write an oblique, probably an OM. Not significantly different from my stubs and italics. I could easily get used to that. We'll get to that in due course ... rolleyes.gif

Soulmaker, I hope you're watching this.....look what I've got... :ninja:

Dark Rhodium plated 149, OB nib. Thanks Tom!

This one is a bit different - the nib is also dark plated, with the white inlay masked off. It looks quite unusual.

Here is it next to an "ordinary" 149:

rockspyder, that is one cool plating job (particularly the nib)! Imagine if you could switch out the white colored star with a grey colored one to match... that would be :yikes:
