The last Montblanc i have buyed was the complete set of the WE " Virginia Woolf" in Germany and and yes it's N° 1 of the 4000 coffrets and the numbers on all 3 are n° 1/16000 1/180000 and 1/4000

I am thinking to buy the John Lennon FP but have to see in the flesh

Greetings

Nice number. Where did you get them from to get these numbers. I always assumed #1 would not be available to the general public.

It was in the Montblanc boutique in Munich

This N° 1 has been in the brochure " Virginia Woolf "

I been aware the number one is normally staying in the factory but i think that day i was very lucky

I went in thz boutique to only see some FP not to buy and the saleswoman said we just have recieved some FP and i think i saw a N°1

So this is the story of the complete set

Suppose you mean 1/18000

That's a really nice set. Some say that specific numbers don't have any more value, but if I want a set than I would value yours more expensive!

Yes 1/18000 lol

The number 1 and 8 ads more value

8 is the lucky number in asia

Ebay *is* dangerous. I just randomly low-balled someone for a 146P and got it for what I would consider a fair price for a near-mint pen. I'm a little worried about the fact that the seller is in a part of the world I don't completely trust, but they have good feedback and Paypal has buyer protection, so here goes nothing. Only other worry: the pen was listed as having an oblique fine (OF) nib. Say whaaaaat? Gonna find out, I guess :)

In the meantime, I wonder if I can set parental controls for myself on my PC...

Well, after a bit of searching and doubting on what to buy, I just purchased a MB Starwalker resin rollerball pen. It´s in the mail now so can´t wait to get home and start using it!!

A bit of a story, I first wanted to by a MB, but then decided to go for a Pelikan instead...however due to extreme delays in delivery with Pelikan Souverans, I switched back to the MB since there was no real telling on how long it would take. So, back to my original choice, and I must say I am glad I did.

Next in line will be a Meisterstück 146 (or even maybe a 149) with platinum trim...

I do believe I have been infected :ltcapd:

Just got this pen in the mail today. I think it's probably an OM that was mis-identified. The nib looks a little wider than my fine nibs, but it's hard to tell since this is the only oblique nib I own.

In other news, I think I like oblique nibs!

I just received a Mark Twain. Here is the pix.

Got my Twain at the start of August. I'd used it around the house ever since but on Monday I started taking it to work. It's a lovely pen and I really enjoyed making 3 sides of notes at a client meeting with it on Tuesday. It's silky smooth. Not as wet as my Mann or Cervantes but still silky smooth.

My Collection: Montblanc Writers Edition: Hemingway, Christie, Wilde, Voltaire, Dumas, Dostoevsky, Poe, Proust, Schiller, Dickens, Fitzgerald (set), Verne, Kafka, Cervantes, Woolf, Faulkner, Shaw, Mann, Twain, Collodi, Swift, Balzac, Defoe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Saint-Exupery, Homer & Kipling. Montblanc Einstein (3,000) FP. Montblanc Heritage 1912 Resin FP. Montblanc Starwalker Resin: FP/BP/MP. Montblanc Traveller FP.

The Mann came back with an absolutely exquisite BB nib. I would say that it is my best writing pen and I have lots of pens!!!!! It is literally like writing with a stick of warm butter. I have never felt anything like it before.

Too a risk on eBay, but ended up with a genuine 1970's 146 for a great deal. Has a few scuffs and a feed with one "rib" is missing but overall in great condition.

That's gorgeous! :puddle:

Looks almost like an EF nib? My perspective might be off due to distortion via computer screens or heavy drink.....

Congrats,

Michael

My latest pens are the Mark Twain and the John Lennon special edition. Now I'm waiting for the Twain leather range.

Any info about dates for the Twain leather? I'm waiting too.

Soon I guess. I was told in November in Europe. Possibly the same for the US.
