Well the 146 arrived the other day. Cracked open my new bottle of Toffee Brown (which I like very much by the way). My 149 was getting much of the action until the 146 came but then you always have a honeymoon period! I'm really happy to own both pens. :cloud9:

Haha...

What a gadget!

All those memories are coming back (point-shoot-bring it to the kodak-express- wait a hour and see the result)

Against my earlier judgement of this pen, I went ahead and pick this up from an authorised dealer at a discounted price. Wasn't too enthusiastic about Collodi in the beginning but slowly grow into it and eventually I'm glad I did. What is great about this dealer is that he would let customer dip-test everything, even when this one was new, something you can't do in an MB boutique. The deal sealer was the B-nib that was available, nice smooth, stub lines. Hope to do a review soon. :)

Life is like Chinatown signage, its cluttering, confusing but everything that you need is there, just have to look harder....

+1 That is NEAT!

Yes, those were the times when you make every shot counts, and hoping that each exposure will turn out well, no second chances. Oh those film canisters does takes lots of space especially during a holiday...

Many congrats with your latest purchase.

Yes, I can remember you wrote it wasn't it (at that time).

Good to know that you have given it some reconsideration.

I really like mine.

Congratulations on your latest purchase sidestreaker.

It does seem to be one of those pens that tends to grow on one. Must surely be one of the most photogenic of pens. Looking forward to hearing your views on how the pen handles. Super photos of a pen that demands attention. Thanks for sharing.

My first MB--a 146. Inked it yesterday and learned firsthand why you all are so enthusiastic about the marque. It is well balanced and has a lovely and smooth nib (Medium FYI).

I just received a new (new-to-me) 146. It's a Medium two-tone nib from the recent past and in excellent condition. It writes no better than my 144, but the size is so much better - I really love it. I've put my 144 on eBay to help fund it, but I figure it wouldn't see much use after getting this.

It writes a bit wet, but her maiden inking was with Diamine Onyx Black (one of my favs), which is very lubricating and flowing. Maybe I'll try some MB black or Blue-Black that I have from the 1990's (I bought several bottles when I bought the 144 new from Office Depot) as I remember it being a drier ink. Any other ideas?

I think this baby will give me many happy years of use - very happy right now bunny01.gif

Good luck with it; I'd recommend a Goulet Pens Ink Drop subscription. You'll get a chance to sample a wide range of inks.

Good thinking Steve. I've been waiting for an excuse (I mean reason) to join the Ink Drop.

I've got 2 incomming that I have wanted for a while, One is a Rouge Et Noir (Boheme), the one that was recalled, comming from my friend Bryant. I missed out the large Boheme (149 size) he had, and luckily enough another large Boheme poped up on Ebay which I won with a Buy It Now!

You will not disappointed with the big Bohéme: it is a wonderful and solid pen.

This my first entry in this forum. I just purchased an orange (red?) MB 204 with a Fine flexible nib from the folks at GoPens.com I tanked it up with a dark blue Herbin ink. It's my first button fill so I'm not sure I filled it properly, but it writes pretty nicely.

I've been busy lately. Encouraged by the theft of my MB Meisterstuck leather note pad and Hemingway BP, and encouraged by my wife, I bought a new Meisterstuck Atelier python notebook. I'm still getting used to it. Doesn't make me feel very manly...but it is good looking. So, couple that with the new Hitchcock FP and 146 100 year granite/silver OB and I'm back feeling pretty good. I also picked up the MB cigar case that I use as a pen pouch... Still sucks that someone stole my agenda.

I keep a non-MB pen in the new agenda, that's actually quite valuable to me (see last photo below)...anyway, here are some pics.
