Montblanc tiger´s eye celluloid 246 with KM nib

Wow Max that is a lovely pen.

Think I have seen a similar one somewhere!!!

Is the KM nib a kugel?

Yes, KM is " Kugel " the M is for medium nib size. I think the similar pen is now in Melbourne together with a matching leather case for this pen, but maybe I am wrong...

Congrats Wael!!

A stunning pen.

How does it feel for writing?

It is on my list.....

Thanks! It writes decent. It needs some adjustment as it's been on display for some time but I don't want to give it up just yet wub.gif...Before the end of the month though I'll drop it off to have the nib swapped for an EF.

I just noticed something funny though in the above photo, it appears the Visconti angel is covering herself and looking at the Carnegie fairy in contempt lticaptd.gif.

cheers

You have an excellent memory Max!

It is now sitting in its leather case with a matching red brown tiger 246 courtesy of Lutz.

They are a beautiful pair.

Thank you! :cloud9:

Yes the Carnegie fairy is revelling in her glory!

I would probably get one in OB nib like GP.

But that is just me.

Can you please PM me approx price as Axel offered me one a while back but I've never been able to contact him since :crybaby:

Picked this up Christmas day from the MB Boutique in Abu Dhabi. Amazingly, they've had this pen for a long long time but would never budge on their price until that morning :bunny01:

Congrats, Wael. The Carnegie is one of my preferred Montblanc models, absolutely Montblanc and absolutely not... Hope to buy one in the future.

Got myself a used Meisterstück Solitaire Doué Signum Fountain Pen in very good condition.

Will add pictures when I have time.

Basically still a 144 just that it's 18k nib, with a SS Cap, and the imprints on the barrel makes better tactile control when writing.

After a few years of looking and dreaming- no thanks to Sean!

Finally found the perfect 149 demo for me.

Late 80's likely with plastic feed and nib like my Hemingway.

It is a dream come true- i will post a slideshow in Sean's demo thread I think

Woohoo! Congrats Jeremy! Your search finally paid off! Well, actually, you need to look for a demo 146 now to make it complete. LOL~

This demo didn't come cheap, did it?

Today I received a Classique BP and a Meisterstuck leather pen pouch. Since I spend lots of time at work writing on crappy paper, marking up technical drawings, etc, the BP is a must for me. Once had the LeGrand but found that a bit too big for a BP. This one's just really nice, certainly with the broad refill it writes just so smoooooth!

Very nice packaging as usual by my dealer La Couronne du Comte

Exquisite packaging on the leather as well... Remember, this is my first 'real' pen pouch and my first Montblanc leather item. Very nicely done!

And of course the pouch itself. It is quite stiff now, but I assume that will soften after some use? However, it's quality and detail are amazing. I have come to expect that from MB but still, really nice.

Now, back to writing!

Thanks Soot!

I do like sets of pens as you may know- I have four Ripples, the 14x series, grey and red/brown tiger eye 246's, three celluloid 146's all with different nibs, two PL's....so that 146 demo may be a challenge!!

And no...it wasn't cheap, but if I had a choice about buying another mint 139 or this, then I made a choice!

I believe there may still be a similar one up on penboard- it is a very similar one and also in excellent condition.

First purchase this year of MB is not a pen, but a wallet (4810 Westside Black mystery 6cc).

I have been looking at this one for a while. The pattern of the leather is based on the Starwalker Black Mystery pen.

I bought it from a store nearby with such a good service. I could not go to the shop, so the manager brought it personally to my office. For the Dutch people among us it is worth take a look at their website www.appelboompennen.nl

No affiliation just a very satisfied customer.

The wallet also has a removable creditcard holder for two cards (for me very usefull when I only need a drivinglicense and a debitcard).

Thanks so much Bart and I hope you enjoy your new purchase too!!

Man, I'd love to see a link to that other one. I've been wanting one for a loooooooooooooong time. What's this "penboard" of which you speak? :)

I just go to penboard.de and have a look.

I don't have the exact link- but Lutz is the seller. Good luck

for me the first purchase of the year has been a MB 149 OB loose nib which will go into my pen instead of the M nib that I will sell on the eBay or here later. With this My compliment of MB149s will be B, OB and O3B.

Plan: To go for the BB and OBB during the year, after generating funds by a few pen sales.

Enjoy your pens

Have a nice day

What a beauty Max! ...as well as the grey PL 246 you showed some days ago.

But why did they use a silver lever and not a matching gold one :gaah: I know this is original, but still why?,

Cheers

Michael
