- John Lennon M Fountain Pen (and selling off my BP)

- Earlier this month, a 149, which I LOVE.

- Royal Blue; Ink of Friendship Turqoise -- about to try this one for the first time; and Black.

- A three-pen MB leather pouch.

Writing this list, I don't like how much money I've spent -- but I LOVE what it has purchased!

Just arrived from Franklin Christoph and very impressed ! The Penvelope 6 in 'boot brown' holds pen well and allows the caps to protrude out but still have the protection required. The 149 is a very snug fit but does accomodate it. My newly aquired Marlene is shown 'relaxing' in the sun

The Marlene Dietrich looks great! Congratulations Pen Nut.

Case looks great as well.

The Mark Twain is a nice new pen which I got a heck of a deal on, but that's not why I posted. The other is the 7th 149 I have owned and 4th I currently own. It has a gorgeous 14K nib and was retro fitted with split ebonite feed. It's a 1999/2000 version and came from Europe from a very reputable deal. It is believe to be a real freak as you can tell, it's not poor lighting, it's white trim.

Oh and of the 7 MB 149's I've owned this one by far is the nicest writer.

Anyone else on here bought a Dietrich? Very impressed with the pen but something is 'niggling' me. :hmm1:

Oh and I am hovering over another MB so will update if I take the plunge (which will be cold and costly!!!)

Stopped in the Duty Free shop on my way home today and picked up a Tribute to the Montblanc BP for my wife. It will be her Christmas present along with the Louis Vuitton bag and wallet and Burberry bag, wallet, and watch. The Aventura mall in Miami was not kind to my wallet yesterday. Surprisingly, I did not buy a thing from the MB boutique there. The staff there was by far the least friendly of all the boutiques that I visited this trip. Dadeland mall and the Palm Beach stores on the other hand were fantastic.

Also picked up some Ink of Joy and an older bottle of purple. The saleslady was actually upset that I wanted some of the older inks and they had just gone through the inventory and thrown out all the out of date ink. She had several that I wanted.

My latest buy were two replacement MB 149 nibs, first a BB, and second a O3B. I am excited and anxiously awaiting their arrival to be installed in my pens the thinner nibs of which were removed and one sold the other waiting for a buyer. I already have a B 149 and wouldlike to see how these compare.

Enjoy your pens

Have a nice day

Ordered a 149 w/ OBBB. Not in stock, so I have to wait for it to come from Germany, hopefully before Christmas, as it's a gift to myself for acomplishing a personal goal.

This week I received my 1st, a 146 with a monotone nib, ebonite feed, and brass threads. A most wonderful pen that writes wet and wide! :clap1:

the monotone nibs on 146s are among the best you can find, they are found on the 146's from the early 70's till the mid-late 80's.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
