What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase?

I want a Collodi so bad, absolutely gorgeous!

My most recent personal purchase is a Legrand med nib, I haven't inked it yet, I'm still undecided as to what should go in it.

I also picked up several 146's and some other models from a local store that closed, I need to get them up on the 'bay at some point before I decide to keep them. ;)

Thanks folks! The photos used - indirect sunlight from windows on the left and one bounced flash to the white ceiling to create the diffused shadows - no other lights involved.

As for the Collodi, I would be mindful of the lint / dust /dirt that may get collected in between the resin and the overlay in time. In order to preserve it's beauty, this pen needs to be provided with lots of TLC.

Best regards, Kai

Well, true. They were shot using Nikon 105mm F/2.8 VR micro.

Thank you confirming using good lenses  . I could not make such shots of my Collodi with my canon DSLR. Just could not focus that much :crybaby: with 18-200 IS non macro.

MB 139 short ink window, MB 139 long inkwindow and MB 134

That is a nice little collection of some of the nicest Montblancs made. Especially the 139 is one of my favorite pens (usually the nibs a great!).

What kind of nibs did you get?

Cheers

Michael

MB 139 long ink window has medium nib, MB 139 short ink window has broad oblique nib and MB 134 has fine nib. MB 139 long ink window required extensive restoration work but I am very happy with the result. All the work was done by Francis Goossens(Fountainbel)out of Belgium. I have MB 136 that is on the way from Germany. All I need is MB 132 and MB 138 to complete the series. Enjoy the pictures!

I have never seen a MB 135! It is not even listed in "Collectible Stars", the reference book I use. If you have a picture of MB 135, please post.

Another celluloid 149, this time with a "generous" semi-flex F nib.

And a rare burgundy 224 made in Germany in 1935. Yes, that's burgundy, not the bordeaux color in modern Meisterstucks or the red in Danish pens. With box and papers.

The closest color I could find to it is my Moore Tuscan 96, but their hues do not match exactly. Lovely pen!

Just awaiting this to be delivered from Milan. Was attracted to it as soon as I saw one in my local Pen Shop
