Where did you get the Gandhi ink, was it from a MB boutique? I ask as I'd like some but don't want to pay the crazy ebay prices.

I couldn't resist the temptation of a brand new, boxed Diaries & Notes old style 2 pens pouch, natural tan color. It perfectly accommodates 2 of my 149s, and the natural leather color of the pouch give to my pens a very "light" and unserious aspect. It is a sturdy case, and I really like it. Thanks to Darius, Blade Runner, kaisede and Sunflowers to share their invaluable information (unobtainable in the official website) about Montblanc case fittings.

How many colours were there for this pouch in addition to this tan colour? Beside two pen compartments, were there 1 or 3 compartments ever introduced for this range? When was this pouch introduced?

This coloured pouch is fabulous since it can keep 2 large 149s. Correct me if I'm wrong, I recall that only the sienna (in black) and florence (black & bordeaux) can keep large pens.

Dear daenghafez, the Diaries and Notes also exists in black, which is probably my preferred color for this pouch. I just bought one from an Italian ebayer for a very fair price.

shrinknib, in an older post I told you I saw one Diaries & Notes in tan in the same shop were I bought mine in Costa Rica. It was priced (if I remember well) around 90-95 dollars. I am in Italy now, but when in Costa Rica, I may search it for you. Let me know.

Thanks to all for the good wishes. :clap1:

Bry has been patient with me- I've been nagging him for ages.

I have been very keen on this pen for a couple of years and am thrilled to be getting what looks a good example.

It has a delicious OB nib and Bry has posted on this pen on the MB forum recently.

I ordered a Collodi pen, but at the time, MB had pushed back the shipment date until mid-September. I ordered each of the three inks as well, but wanted to postpone receiving them until the pen shipped, that way I don't have to pay so much in shipping costs. :gaah:

Just love those Diaries and Notes cases...they are stunning!

I just received my first 149, in mint condition, from the 80's with box and papers. Split ebonite feed, F nib. Just a wonderful writer. I am now hooked for sure on the 149...there will be more (maybe a nice B nib in the future?).

Yes, it is from a boutique, I was lucky to pick up the last bottle in the shop.

Just when I think "he can't possibly top that!" you go and buy another beauty. I think you need to see our friend Htin for your buying addiction :ltcapd:

Lovely pen. Look forward to your comments on it.

Arrived today - nice pen cosmetically but cork is shot and needs replaced and fine nib is a scratchy thing that needs a little work. It needs to go out for some TLC but that is always on the cards with these old ones!
