Well, my original source for Love Letter ink fell through, but I found another one! I'll soon have five bottles winging their way towards me. YAY!

I *think* I also may have found a source for one or two bottles of White Forest. Yessssssssssss!

With that, I'll have five bottles each of the following:

Season's Greetings 2005 (brown)

Season's Greetings 2007 (red)

Season's Greetings 2009 (green)

Gandhi (saffron)

Love Letter ink (red)

And I will feel secure for when the ink sources dry up completely. :D I thought about buying more, but I've got so much other ink that more than four extra bottles (not including the one in rotation) of any one colour seems RIDICULOUS.

I also picked up one bottle of the I Love You ink, just for comparison purposes.

Just bought a used Dumas (father's signature). Was hoping for the son's signature which would be a good companion for my current Dumas's father. But the price of USD177 was too hard to resist. Guess I have to ink it in blue as to complement the other Dumas in black. :)

Just purchased an Agatha Christie vermeil LE4810.

Seller mentioned that she had a Christie for sale and i patiently waited for a sterling silver pen snake with ruby eyes.

On opening the box, i was blown away by the sight of a gold snake with sapphire eyes.

Price $300.

I would say you got the deal of a lifetime there. Why can I never find these deals like that?

Yesterday I bought in the Salzburg Boutique in Austria this Cigar Box which can perfectly be used as a pen box:

Bought my first proper pen after years of using cheap fountain pens, I eventually chose a Boheme Noir having tried out the Meisterstucks, but not being so convinced by the design, I wanted something a little different.

I bought it at Heathrow airport, at full price minus tax, but was celebrating an achievement at work so justified (or so I keep telling myself...) after using for a few days I decided to exchange the nib for a fine, I did this though the post with MB London and received it a little over 2 weeks later by special delivery and no problems.

I love the pen, the fine nib is still a little wet for some of my writing (often quick notes and maths on post-it notes, printed briefs etc) as it bleeds through the cheap paper we use at work, but not as much as the medium did. Interestingly, the actual difference in line width is hardly noticeable between the two.

I am going to take the pen in to a boutique when I next have an opportunity as I feel as if the mechanism is slightly loose, but it might just be me.

I use the pen daily, some might say it is not the right pen for this, but I think it is well designed for the purpose. Anyway I have 2 years of warranty for it to fall apart!

Thanks, I guess it's just plain luck. The pen is a used pen and has 2 small paint peels between the 2 cap-rings (or is it gum residue there?), besides some micro scratches on the resin. The nib is wonderful smooth in the size of medium to broad.

I'll try to get an opinion from our local MB boutique here on these issues. Will also try to get them touching up the missing signature paint.

I love the Meistrerstück Selection wallets! But my most recent purchase was a Boheme Marron with a more-or-less "special ordered" BB nib which is not offered on this pen. It has to be made in Germany but it is a month since we ordered it and still hasn't come!

MB 149-auction win on ebay this week. Arrived Wednesday. The seller e-mailed me with the information that the pen had belonged to his father who had a medical practice in Harley Street and used the pen for signing prescriptions! Knowing a bit of the pens history makes it a little more special to me. :)

I think that makes you king Sumgai.

Just bought (or had bought for me) a Francois I 4810 POA. Presently has a Fine nib, but wandering whether to change it to an EF, something decadent like an OBB, or leave as is...

Francois is a great looking pen, congrad on your purchase. I would consider EF (I have it on my 145) for everyday use. It is great for college ruled paper.

I also have an OBB, which I don't really use that much. If you do send it back for nib exchange make sure to tell them how smooth you want the nib to be.

I usually tell MB sales person what to put down on the ticket so I will get the ink flow and smoothness of my liking.
