What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase?

I couldn't resist the temptation of a brand new, boxed Diaries & Notes old style 2 pens pouch, natural tan color. It perfectly accommodates 2 of my 149s, and the natural leather color of the pouch give to my pens a very "light" and unserious aspect. It is a sturdy case, and I really like it. Thanks to Darius, Blade Runner, kaisede and Sunflowers to share their invaluable information (unobtainable in the official website) about Montblanc case fittings.

Your very welcome Fpupulin! Yes, these older D&N pouches are roomier than the new which is advantageous for 2 149s. Enjoy!

I stumbled upon a Chopin last week in a pawnbrokers. It was purchased new mid last year and has been sitting in their store for almost as long. I looked over the pen which was in perfect condition and appeared never to have been inked.

I offered them substantially less than the asking price; as the financial year was coming to an end and they wanted to move their stock. They initially rejected my offer, however they called me back a few ays later and asked if I was still interested; I said only if the price was right. They agreed and now it's mine.

I inspected it again at home and it feels like I just went into the boutique and picked up a new one. Nice... Shiny... and wonderful to write with.

 ..what kind of nib did you get?

Michael

Thanks Michael. It's got an EF nib.

Congrats Kai! Looking forward to some of your beautiful photography.

Thanks Jeen. Unfortunately the pen has a couple of issues that the seller didn't disclose previously, so I'm going to return it. However, I took several pictures for my records.

MY LOVELY MARK TWAIN!

Finally, after deciding against the box-less overpriced crooked-feed Poe, I got the last M nib Mark Twain from the boutique!

I am so happy! Haven't inked yet, just mesmerized over its general beauty :) I feel so silly!

It took me awhile before I ink it too, admiring the details and its beauty. Congrats and enjoy!

After 18 months of paying off debt, and only having 4 more to go to be debt free, my wife and I fell off the wagon last week and I ended up with a Wilde, a Woolf and a Bernstein. All within an hour. I can't play with them until Christmas and my birthday next year, but I do have them.

Yes, I am! My wife is an enabler to my addiction. She now wants to start buying the WE pens in the sets so that she can use the BP or RB since she does not like to use FP's. This makes me happy.

You have an adorable wife. My wife won't stand in my way when I want to buy something, but certainly will not encourage me. Haha

Wow. Nice spending spree. Hope you've not loaded yourself up with debt though. What was the rationale for buying them all now if you're not going to start using them until Xmas and your birthday next year?

I personally don't understand going into debt for "non-necessary items". You end up paying a fortune in interest which ultimately leaves you with less nice things in the long run.
