I missed out on goodguy's sale :headsmack:

Oh well, there will be others...

Mark Twain with a Medium nib. I had to call a million different places to find one in stock. :bunny01:

Now if I could just find a Thomas Mann!

Wish List:

Thomas Mann

Christie

Proust

Hemingway

(I know, its going to be hard doing this on a budget!)

Well done

I have the Hemi and it is a worthy pen to be on any wishlist.

Just received goodguy's Proust last week- that is a beautiful looking pen and a wonderful writer.

First WE pen nib that has some serious spring to it.

Just a joy :cloud9:

I bought a Thomas Mann at my local MB Boutique on May 3. I called up a few days before and told them what I was looking for (wanted to buy two other MB for gifts). The salesperson looked in the computer while I was on the phone and told me there were only three Mann FP left in the US; all broad nibs. She had one shipped to the store and I went in a day later to look it over and had it sent off for a nib change. Looks like OC Mike got another of the B nibs. Might be worth a call to a boutique. Mine in White Plains, NY was very helpful.

I actually called a few boutique's, FPH, and most of the major pen stores (world or lux, pen boutique, paradise pen, and a few others) they could not locate one. Not even one listed on eBay!

The Mann picked up momentum after its initial release. I got mine 9 month after its release and I already heard that the FP and BP are selling out. I guess I was lucky because the MB store I get my pens from recommended to take a look at it and kept a factory sealed one in the back for me until I was ready to pick it up.

When I finally went to pick it up they also had a Shaw (Sealed) Fine nib waiting for me just in case I also would want one. Needless to say I picked up both. Is that good customer service or is that just bad for my wallet (which is also MB)?

Are there people looking for Thomas Mann Fp's?

I know an authorised MB seller with a lot of Mann's in The Netherlands. A year ago I received a list with the production numbers by email. He had nine in stock and also some sets of the Mann.

Most recent MB purchase: 161 LeGrand platinum ballpoint and a Meisterstuck Leather black 1 pen sleeve. Nice combo! The ballpoint is easily the best bp I've ever used, it is very very smooth.

Now looking to get a nice 146...;-)

A bottle of Oyster Grey and the last bottle of an unusual Burgundy Red the store had (it smells like strawberry, what's up with that?). Planning on getting a leather 2-pen pouch and a new pen soon, still deciding if the F nib is going to suit my daily needs. :P

A 134 and a 138 - in the mail. Just got back a 742 with an OB nib that really proves small pens can be comfortable big writers.
