Agatha Christie Vermeil and A Daniel Defoe.

Any pics? Particularly of the Defoe - there seems to be quite a lot of colour variation between pens, and I would be interested to see your pen :)

Nice c. 1937 -1942 Montblanc Meisterstück Set with a 134 fountain pen and Pix 72G pencil in the original leather case:

Pen is in nice condition but shows a few ugly plier marks on the filling knob.

Great set Michael, thanks for the pictures, enjoyed the further reading on your blog

Can you/will you restore away the plier marks?

Thank you! Here are some pics of it. I have several of the old push-knob pens, and I love how the feel in the hand, very light and balanced. After all, that brass piston mechanism does add a bit of weight.

After quite some time hunting this pen, finally located and bought....!! I could only manage getting a "Broad" nib although I'm normally a Fine / Medium user. I'd love to hear experiences of other members who own this.

Thanks for all of your nice comments :-)

@da vinci: I tried both heating and gentle sanding & polishing on the plier marks; looks improved but I will not mess any further with it as I would loose the imprints as well. I'll keep it this way.

@Sharookh: nice duo; both lie side by side in my box as well. Totally different pens but somehow look good together. Which one do you like better? I really like the combination if the classic and modern look on the Heritage!

I consider the Schiller maybe the last WE with classic looks inspired by the early Meisterstück pens before MB turned to a more modern and ornate look. Nice lightweight pen.

@MiamiArchStudent: The 12x series is great. Classic looks, reliable construction and LIGHTWEIGHT! Nice pictures and the "little Hemingway" looks great as well.

@RaulT: The Starwalker works great and is one of my frequently used pen in daily life. Stiff but smooth and well writing nib.

Cheers

Michael

PS: currently I'm waiting for a 146 Tribute to arrive. Had to get one after seeing the MB only offers a "plain" white Meisterstück Solitaire without the little Tribute details since some time!

Michael -

I wish MB would relaunch the 122 /134/138/139 series of pens... Or at least a similar design. And not as a special edition. There's something fascinating about the flat top, don't you think?

Yes the 1912 / 100 years Anniversary are two beautiful writing instruments. I enjoy the process of twist / pull to reveal the nib. And the quality of the nibs - superb. The 1912 flex nib is super buttery as you know.

And the Schiller: of the three/ffour pens in the WE series ( Hemingway, Dumas, Schiller) that I love - I've only been able to get my hands on the Schiller. Every design element of this pen is beautiful. I'm just surprised that it is so under-rated. The colour, the clip, the rounded top and the size - all beautiful.

Just clicked submit on my order for a 1912 with a B nib. If they're going to end the production run I might as well stop hesitating.

I don't think you'll regret it. I preordered one with an OBB nib back in 2013 when they first introduced it. Without a doubt it is one of my favorite pens ever. I hope you love yours as much as I do mine.

Absolutely. Although I have found M more than adequate for me. The amount of ink that flows through depending on the pressure you apply, gives the impression that you're writing with a B....

The pictures speak for themselves. What a find in Flemington New Jersey USA! I like the new design for easy access to the refill, and the vent along the side of the cap and barrel. And notice the new ink color name based on celestial bodies. What will Montblanc think of next?!

It must be a VERY Limited Edition release, because I've yet to see another, and Montblanc has been tight-lipped about it. I'm torn whether to keep it or share this delightful find by listing it in the classified so that another lucky Montblanc collector can treasure this wonderful find.
