Recently i got this danish green marbled 226 (button filler), it´s a nice sized pen (the largest in the series) with a size 6 nib.

It´s made between 1941 and 1954, and came in black, coral red and green, I have them all except the light green version.

On the bottom is a family pic, from the left 246 (pistonfiller), 2 x 226 (buttonfillers) And 2 x 224 (button fillers).

Yesterday I got my first MB : a Meisterstück 146, second-hand, but in mint condition. :)

And almost bought a Boheme on eBay, but someone was luckier than me... :(

@ Feathers : thank you! :)

Though I am very glad indeed, somehow the combination "first MB" frightens me....

@ Drafty : how much did you pay for yours please?

Unless it's a secret... :)

No probs. I went for a new one though. I couldn't find anything in the condition I wanted 2nd hand, with my nib choice. And I was looking for a 149 until I tried them and loved the 146...but you don't care about all that lol

About $470 US before tax.

Met Osman Sümer at the DC show yesterday. He was kind enough to replace the piston mechanism in one of my 149s that was broken. I have him on the lookout for a green striated 144 or 146 for me.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Nice! - I think there's one of those in classifieds at the minute, though I only glanced at it. Could've been a diff model.

Cingret Drafty, it's a beauty and sure you will write lots of nice letters with it!!

Thank you. Out of all the pens I own now, this one makes me feel something...can't explain it. I guess it's the Montblanc name.

Yesterday I picked up the MB Blue Hour (146 size) at the Tyson's MB Boutique. I haven't inked it yet; I am waiting for the Blue Hour ink to arrive. The body of this pen looks black in this photo, but it is a deep blue.

Quick question. Do you guys peel of the nib size sticker on the pen? Mine seems to fade more and more.
