Do they sell those at my local MB Boutique? I need one.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

A danish MB 216. It´s slightly longer than the 206 (which is the earlier version), but also a little thinner, the clips, sections and feeds are also different.

It´s a little bigger than a celluloid Mb 146.

Hi,

Not a fountain pen, and not completely original.

Its a Boheme pencil (road kill model). Yup, the poor thing got hit by a truck or something.

parts were missing, cracked and bent.

I made a new titanium section and blind cap. Straighten adjusted and polished.

Yes, she lost her snowflake, (de-flaked) but she'll lives to mark another day

It's the Ti-Bo (onyx)

Montblancs are incredibly well made, any other pen would be floating through the fields of Valhalla.

I spent the time to fix it in acknowledgment of that tradition of craftsmanship.

Prosthetic

I love your attitude to saving it and its come out beautiful. :D :D Vera

Thanks.

I did get this one from an add in a local paper, but they also turn up on ebay and other auction sites.

I don't know why but the pinstripe sterling silver solitaire just calls to me, got a Doué, still keeping my eyes open for a "cheap" one :)

Before I got into fountain pens, a number years ago I came across a silver pinstripe MB ball point at a store that really left a lasting impression. I just couldn't afford that one at the time. I acquired a few silver pens since then, but I knew I had to have the Montblanc one day. The striped sterling silver with gold accents I think is really well done by Montblanc. I came across a new old stock again, but this time the fountain pen version, and let\s just say it spoke to me. It's just gorgeous in person!

Starwalker Black Mystery Ballpoint. Not a Fountain Pen, but anyway... I really love the "laser pattern" and the perfect weight.

So after 17 hours of flying arrived at Mum's the find these two beauties waiting for me...a 31 and a 32.

The 31 had a bit of blue ink in, and been cleaning it all morning but had to have a dip with some MB Purple Lavender with them both....the 31 is soooo smooth!

Got a 146R recently. That thing is sweet. But nothing beats my trusty 149!!!

Ohh that 146R looks lovely - nice collection :)

My Toscanini came back from the nib swap. It is now sporting a springy BB.

Next comes choosing the right ink for the maiden voyage.

I finally decided to go for the 149 in the 90th version. I bought the 146 last year since I thought it was the right size for me. Then I found my long lost 149 fron the early 80's (my very first Mb that I received as a highschool graduation present from my grand father). I inmediately started using it and has kept all my other pens just sitting there waiting for me. Now this second 149 has joined the family and I oh my... the rest of my collection is in trouble.

My new-to-me Cervantes (purchased from daenghafez off the FPN board) arrived in the mail about 10 minutes ago. Of course, when a new pen arrives in the mail, everything must stop for it!

For some reason I thought the pen would be the same weight/size as the GB Shaw, but it is so much lighter/smaller. The 'F' nib is a lot of fun in this pen, as it has some 'edge' to it.

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

You surprise me. I would have expected them to be the same, too. Hmm. Might make my "want" list shorter...

I'll post a comparison when I get home tonight, to make sure I am not crazy and just mis-remembering. I don't have a good scale for this though, hrmm.

In the meantime, some numbers from another review of a zillion writers editions *drool*

Size capped 137mm

Size uncapped 127mm

EDIT: @GhostPlane, I PM'd you some extra comparison pictures.
