Managed to get hold of a Dickens ballpen to accompany the fp on its travels and to use when a fp wont work or when someone needs to scribe something and they dont have a pen.

They seem to be getting on well :)

Perfect match! For me, both my FP and BP are in different MB pen cases, but I still bring both out together to work.

Lamy 2000 FP, PP, BP, MFP & RB. Mont Blanc Meisterstück 161 Le Grand Platinum BP & Heritage 1912 FP.

@Jar, I am very envious of your ability to find such great deals. Congrats on a beautiful pen at an even more beautiful price.

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

Nice set Pen Nut. The Dickens ballpoint is one of the best looking WE ballpoints IMHO :)

I think the Dickens is good value for money and a good everyday useable WE.

Do like the substantial cap on the fp, Its a good 'thinking item' to twiggle in your hand whilst contemplating stuff.........hope that made sense & think people on here will know what I mean.

My first ever MB.

A nice 146 M...here with my Franklin-Christoph cae and notebook holder. Second hand but immaculate, writes nice and smooth. Hoping it's genuine...

Congratulations! I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be authentic. Many people here, including myself, have yet to hear of a counterfeit Legrand fountain pen/146. Hope you enjoy it and that it serves you well! :)

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

Second hand is the way to go with MB. Man people buy them as status symbols, rarely if ever use them, and then they turn up on the used market.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I got another danish 246 (piston filler) yesterday, in very good shape and with clear imprint, it just needed a cork to work again.

I have got a few of these, so they must have been rather popular in their day (1941-1954).

Congratulations on the beautiful pen! I'm a sucker for the design of vintage nibs :)

It had been awhile since I bought any Montblanc items but when I saw an Alexander Dumas père for sale at Bertram's Inkwell with box and presentation case for only $550.00 I figured it was once again time. The Dumas is one of the few MB special edition pens that has caught my fancy so I figured it was worth a flyer.

There was a small tear one one flap of the outer box but nothing serious.

The display case was near perfect.

and the pen itself all that I could hope for.

550$ for this fountain pen is a bargain !!! I bought one for 795 euro and considered it a good chance.
