Love the florentine quivers, have a 2/3 pen model, i'm still on the lookout for a croc one :) Congratulations on the great find.

Do the 2/3 pen quivers have a divide for each pen?

As mentioned earlier in this thread, my latest MB acquisition is the Big Boheme. I took a chance on one from eBay and it turned out better than expected. Certainly the pen had been used, but I was able to clean most of the gunk out (saw blue, brown and black colors on the paper towel).

There were a few positive surprises. The warranty booklet was filled out and the original MB boutique sales receipt from 3/30/03 for $475 + tax was included. I notice the receipt was two pages, which was strange. A closer examination revealed the original owner bought a B, but then exchanged that pen 10 minutes later for a BB. Good choice!

I loaded it with the only cartridges I have for an MB and here are some photos.

The modern tri pen Meistertuck case has dividers only in the upper section, covering only the caps...

Even most of my pocket money will go into these:

I've got a few nice additions to my hoard:

  • Montblanc Meisterstück Solitaire Doué 146 Black & White; normally this type of pen should have 18K nib but this one came with a 14K nib which writes like a fine nib (even the sticker says "M").
  • Sterling silver snake clip for my Meisterstück 35 Safety.
  • Montblanc Writers Edition F. Scott Fitzgerald which shows some discolorations but has a wonderful OB nib with lots of character and great ink flow. This will make a perfect daily writer.
  • Tool to unscrew the nut which holds the cork on vintage piston fillers (from Pen Marco at www.penboard.de).

The Princesse is arrived. She's exceptionally beautiful. Hard to capture especially with a smartphone. Will try to do make better pictures later, but currently I'm really eager to try it. Cleaned and filled a cartridge with Diamine Imperial Purple. With a really quick examination happily noticed, that barely, but a long Pelikan cartridge can fit to the body of the pen, which makes me happy because the larger ink capacity... Truly hard to capture its beauty, because its kind of changing by the light condition.

New arrival: a Max Reinhardt edition from 2007, made of white gold and the inlays are rock crystal. A beauty :) :)

Too pretty to use

I’m very excited to have gotten my second grail pen! It ended up being a much belated, combined 30th and 31st bday present from my family and came courtesy of Juri Giambelli. I've always been curious about the Copernicus (because I'm a dreamer who lives in the stars :P) and when saw it in person for the first time it was love at first sight: with the speed of a shooting star, the pen made its way to the top of my list!

Plus it has my favorite nib design ever

Michael,

Nice pick ups pen wise.

I especially like the Brembos. Twin piston callipers I think? What are you putting them on. That's some serious stopping power

Thanks for your nice comments!

Yes, German (and most other European) shows are for one day only (actually not even the whole day). But most have a pre-show meeting the evening before. When needing to travel I usually attend those as well. Great opportunity to meet some great people in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Great idea ... but I'm afraid only for thin pencils ;-)

Actually the Brembo GT are six pistons with 380 mm / 15" rotors. Almost 1900 kg can need some serious stopping power. The original ones didn't last long on the Autobahn ;-) They will go on this:

@VivienR: very nice pen and rarely seen here on the board!

@bstnnyc: I really like the Copernicus which has some really nice features like the little meteorite stone, the sterling silver trim, mother of pearl star and translucent lacquer - ALL in one pen!

Cheers

Michael

Yesterday I went to a pen shop to get a pen which fits in the cover for my pocket notebooks. The nice lady knew immediately what I needed. I stepped out with a MB Mozart.

It fits perfectly, it writes great, so how could I not take it with me?
