Hi, :W2FPN: .

Unfortunately, I am afraid that this is a fake model.

Seems a fake to me (the cap doesn't look ok).

Thank you so much for your answers

I’m very excited to have gotten my second grail pen! It ended up being a much belated, combined 30th and 31st bday present from my family and came courtesy of Juri Giambelli. I've always been curious about the Copernicus (because I'm a dreamer who lives in the stars :P) and when saw it in person for the first time it was love at first sight: with the speed of a shooting star, the pen made its way to the top of my list!

Plus it has my favorite nib design ever

Congratulations! that is a fantastic pen and a standout (to me) in the 4810 editions with the MOP star. Have you written with it yet? Are you going to stare at it for a while first?

Thank you zaddick! I'm a sucker for the MOP star too; it's my first one and it's been hard to stop staring at it. It really adds something special to the experience of interacting with the pen.

I've definitely inked and written with him as I have 0 willpower when it comes to pens and inks  haha For the first inking I used a dark blueish purple with wonderful flow and glide (Sailor Jentle Shigure) which I think pairs well with the celestial theme of the pen. The nib is a generous fine (even by MB standards) and is very smooth with just the right amount of control on the page.

Thanks for sharing. I am glad it is a user and hope it brings you joy and you can pass it on to the next generation at your 62nd birthday party.

Take a look at this beauty... It's look like a '70s. It was kept in the box for all those years, probably never inked before. It was a gift for frequent flyers in 1st class in an old Airliner in Brazil. I've bought it from a son of a director of the company. It looks like never used, no scratch, the nib looks like new... I will make better pictures later. Take a look!

Beautifully kept Montblanc 146 from the late 1970s-early1980s? It's difficult to date these pens with some precision. Monocolour nibs/blue-greyish ink windows were used on MB146 pens until the early 1990s. All 146 pens with monocolour nib I've tried so far write wonderfully. Congratulations.

I found out that there is a MB boutique not 10 minutes from my place (I relocated a couple months ago) and went to browse. I left with a bottle of JFK Navy Blue ink. I will probably put it in my 149 when the current fill of MB Mystery Black runs out.

I really enjoy the JFK navy ink as well. I want to pick up another bottle before they run out.

Where you live must be a dangerous place to live.

I think I have to take a walk to the boutique everyday if I live in such a place.

It is definitely a temptation! They had a pretty good selection and I had a nice talk with the guy working about different inks, it was great.

It slipped my mind to ask if they had in test pens to try different nibs, oh well, another reason to go back!

I picked up today a Monte Rosa with 14G extra fine nib. Perfect length/balance for me when posted.

I had one once, a fine little pen with a very nice semi-flexible nib.

I love it to. It looks to dry faster then Midnight Blue, do you agree?

Yes, it does appear to dry pretty quick. The JFK navy ink seems to have a more true deep blue color compared to MB midnight blue. It is my favorite every day ink right now.
