Now am thinking to get a suitable MB case for my Heritage 1912 as I tried it in my 1-pen Siena case for my 161 BP and doesn't fit. Any recommendations or should I just leave it in its original box?

It has been a big week of acquisitions for me. I picked up the following MB items:

- Sienna 3 pen case

- 75th anniversary 2 pen case

- 75th 149 SE - M nib

- 90th 149 - B nib

- 138 short ink window OM nib

All are still in the mail, so no pictures. I am most looking forward to seeing the 138 as it will be my first.

I see what you did there :P

Yay...shopping spree.

Excellent choices! I'm curious to learn about the features of your 138 (nib, clip, ...).

What's special on the 75th pen case? I don't remember

Cheers

The case is just a Sienna with an MOP star logo button and limited to 1924 pieces.

The 138 has the tie clip like the Hemingway or the typical 139. The nib looks like the early 146 nib, 2-tone 14C with 585 markings. I am guessing it is from the end of the 138 era. No idea what the feed looks like, probably flat or maybe the ski slope. I'll find out in a few weeks. :)

Ah, yes...the MOP logo  A few years ago I've bought almost every MB pen case I could find but that one you don't see too often.

You'll also find differences in the imprints used on those 138 pens!

Cheers

The lavender purple and corn poppy red bottles. I came across a nicely priced 149 and will talk to them about getting me an OBB nib. Who knows I just might post pictures of a 149 soon!

If you want a one pen case to keep it protected and scratch free I'd just leave it in its box until you get a proper case for it. I imagine you can go to the MB website and find a case that fits. Some one else can probably steer you better. As I don't even have this pen.

Just landed today. Single pen Westside case. Had one before and do like the grain/non shine finish.

Well haven't been around lately, bought a Montblanc Star 39MM silver guilloché dial for X-Mas, It's a quartz, not enough spare change lying around for an automatic ;). They gave me a choice of 2 inks as a gift got Lavender Purple and Toffee Brown

And also got a 2015 Calendar for the A5 organiser. And now that i think about it, the tomoe river notebook i have is A5 and I don't use it much, perhaps i'll cut it out and add one of it's signatures as needed...

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I'll just leave it in its box until I can find a time to go to a MB boutique to look for one. At that time when I bought the pen, should've bought the case together with it.

A bottle of Toffee ink from the King of Prussia boutique.

I took a photo of the bottle even though they all look the same. :P I use a lot of Toffee in my always-inked Sheaffer Balance oversize with very rare full flex EF nib.

Hi Fred. I love the toffee brown. It gets a low contrast in Moleskine paper. Amazing color!

Well, I've bought it. The 149 is in the house.

What a great nib. Fantastic writing experience. I don't know how, but that pen feels very well balanced, and doesn't feel heavy when writing.

And a case for this beauty... She deserves it!

my 2nd cartridge only pen after the OMAS Milord with ACS.

too bad I didn't get the case, but think I might try to make one my self.

My only MB goal is now a 146 with two tone nib and a 149 with 18K tri-tone nib.

Nice pen, Fravin!!! :)

Claude, You have to take a time with a 149. She is really great, but it's not so heavy like She appears to be. The balance is fantastic. I don't know why, but that pen doesn't feel so big when writing. That huge nib is so wet, and so smooth that writing with She is so good, so good that make us forget about that size. It's a pleasuring experience. You should gave her a try. And be amazed by her spell! :D

Great pen Fravin! I have a 149 from the early 90's and it is by far my favorite writer. Congrats on your purchase.

Finally bought a proper 'home' for my Heritage 1912, the 4810 Westside. It's a bit shorter than the Siena but a bit more expensive too.

Seems like the new pen pouches are made in Germany as compared to Italy before.

Hi SE1980,

I recently bought a Heritage 1912 too and that is a super sweet case you bought. Was that from a downtown boutique? Any special offer?

How does the pen fit? I was thinking of the 3 pen case to fit my others in there too...did they have the Westside in 3 pen size at that length?
