That Starwalker was my first MB. I'm quite amazed by her smoothish flow of ink.

I'm using a Pellican converter with MB Oyster Gray. With no problems. It's really unbelievable that MountBlanc didn't designed one converter for this pen. I'm loving it!

@fravin: 'glad you like the Starwalker; the nib is a nail but writes very, very smooth and without problems.

@sunnerd: did you get a fine nib? I have the impression that the Defoe writes slightly more flexible compared to other modern MBs. Is yours the same?

Cheers

Michael

Hi Michael, yes it's a fine nib and the nib separates a little when I press it, but there is not much "flex" when written on paper.

Best regards, Kai

I'm feeling like someone who has been poisoned... I just bought a StarWalker (shown above) that I'm loving. And now I'm considering to buy a 149, after reeding several reviews by you at FPN. :yikes:

Let's count to 10.

OK, we'll count to ten as you buy a 149. Given how many are out there, it shouldn't take you that long. :)

i just got this green marbled 246 (piston filler).

It looks exactly like the 226 (button filler) except for the ink window.

I'm no big fan of MB but Franz Kafka was "the pen" I wanted to get since when it first came out.

As of today, I am the proud owner of one :D

Congratulations! :)

We need pictures....

@farmdogfan: two great additions; the green pen really has a nice color. Do you have the light green version as well? I bet the 24 is a great writer.

@firat: great choice! The Kafka has always been one of my favorite modern WE. Don't you just love the subtle transparent red resin and sterling trim?

Cheers

MB made at least two shades of green on the 24x models; one is the dark green you recently showed and one is a much lighter pastel green (not as much 3d effect either). The difference is significant and the light green is less seen but much more prone to discoloration. Also both colors appear different depending on wether you have piston filler (transparent parts show) or button filler (more solid color). This is the light green color: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/36/48/8f/36488fe3eae73b923bce93678516b98a.jpg (not mine).

So far I have not been able to find a nice (not discolored) AND affordable light green pen.

Cheers

No, i don´t have any that looks like that, but it sure looks good, and it would be a nice one to get.

But as you say, they are probably more scarce than the common green ones.

I recently acquired a new MB149 EF and I really love the way it writes. Definitely a keeper!
