Yes. I do this with my boheme. The plastic cartridges are strong, look great with over a year of use.

Sounds good, thanks for the info!

Hi,

That does not sound good.

Haven't used it yet.

I think I will start writing in it next week.

So my fiancée last week took me to the Mont Blanc Boutique here in Toronto and bought me an engagement and Christmas gift all rolled into one.

A 2013 Signature for Good Classic fountain pen and she's having the nib replaced with an extra fine (woot :) ) and is getting our engagement anniversary engraved on it.

Since I won't be seeing it again until Christmas all I got to look at is the MB pictures.

Very nice! When I bought the 90th anniversary Classique for my wife as a gift for our wedding this year, I also engraved our names and the year of our wedding on both our MBs, makes it more special to us.

Enjoy your pen!

I just bought a used 149. I'll have to wait to see what I ended up getting, but it looks like 1980s from the blurry photos I saw. I hope it is a good user grade pen.

Honestly not sure. The pictures were pretty bad. But after staring at them more last night i think the pen is from the '74 to '80 range. It came with a pen case that is from the 1970's so this is corroborating evidence. :D

I will be lucky if it is a medium, but it is probably fine. I don't dare to hold out hope for a B. If it is a medium, I will think about getting it stubbed.

Let us hope for the best. The chance to be a B are statistically low.

I succumbed to temptation and bought a 90th Anniversary 149.

That's a good choice. What nib size did you get?

My bad. Here are the pics:

The pen: http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn262/TheGryphonRoom/IMG_2151_zps3516a6ad.jpg

The nib: http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn262/TheGryphonRoom/IMG_2149_zpsa2b1426f.jpg

The nib is a medium, but now I'm wondering if I should have chosen a fine since I keep hearing that the nibs run wide.

I can't wait to go pick up some fresh ink to ink it!

I just received an MB 149 FP with an F nib that I purchased via the FPN classifieds. It looks to be in near mint condition and very happy with it. Inked it up with some MB ink and it writes like a dream. I love the way the F nib writes on this pen. :D
