I got this Mb 136 not long ago, i know the clip is not right but it will do for the time being (and i like the fluted clips).

Not many stripes left in the ink window, on the pics it´s filled with ink.

What a nice pen and photography!

I would not worry much about the clip sice it could be replaced anytime if desired. I'd leave it like this since you got it this way and the clip looks nice on this pen.

Looks like it is the first, original design wirh hard rubber parts, raised cap hand and hofh top with good engraving. Does it have the long ink window?

The 136 is among my absolute favorite vintage MB pens. My long period plan is to get one of each variation. I've found them very good writers and of durable construction and easier (= more affordable) to get then 139s ;-)

Enjoy yours!

Cheers

Michael

PS:

Do you know if they were popular in Denmark? I think they were never produced there but I got one at the Copenhagen flea market some time ago.

Cheers

Hi Michael, and thanks.

The clip is one i had from another pen, but i keep looking, it probably had a long ink window once, but the stripes are allmost gone.

I think there are more danish MBs than german, but i´m no expert.

regards Per

Happy Birthday!

What a great gift :-) Is it the "father" or "son" ?

The nib looks very fine for a "medium"; how does it write?

Enjoy in good health.

Cheers

Thank you ! Farmdogfan & Michael R.

It's the father's signature. Michael you are right that it does not seem to be a 'M' although the sticker tells. It should be a 'F' but that fit me. :) :)

The WE Defoe and LE Sforza.. Both purchased brand new in Mexico´s MB boutique in October, both sent to Germany for nib replacement. I can´t wait to get them back so they can be put in rotation.

Just got a call from MB Mexico... they have finally located a LE Da Vinci FP for me!! Will be delivered within the next 15 days. Too bad this one will be sent to Germany for nib change... will have to wait 2 months to get it back and use it.
