Bought today during the pen port in Hamburg, pen show in my hometown.

Wow, that is a great looking set.

Nice pens! You could contact Francis and ask him if he has a clip for that no 2 button filler. He managed to find me a clip for a wartime 334 1/2 and a Spanish no. 42.

Thanks orfew, that´s a good idea, i might give it a try.

It is the 2004 Montblanc Ancient Games - I was able to purchase it this year from a collector.

What size nib does it have? Has it ever been inked? We need the details :)

It is truly a beautiful pen. Nicely done.

I nabbed my first 149 last week from ebay. Split ebonite feed with no serial numbers. After a nice long soak and flushing it writes like a dream. One significant scratch on the barrel, but after I started writing with it I've barely noticed it. Nothing exotic on the nib, looks to be a fine/medium line, but with strong flow.

It took a lot of looking before I found one in my price range, but I think I got a real steal!

It was sold during the Olympic Games 2004 in Athenes only; my booklet has some greek handwriting in there from the salesman/-woman I suppose.

The athletes are engraved in a very thin relief structure - a masterpiece of artwork. I have got some pens but this one is incredible when holding it in the hand. And the marble fits perfectly with the gold.

I recently bought a MB 146 and based on the info here, I think it's 1970's vintage (smooth ring, shape of cone on top.) Thanks to you folks, here, I flushed it after a fill of ink did not write smoothly, and refilled it and it's writing beautifully. I was at a meeting yesterday with one of our managing partners (a legend--his photo is on my wall and we'd spoken but in 10 years, I'd never met him) He came out for our trimester meeting and I noticed at dinner, he was writing with a burgundy version. Not sure the model--I only glimpsed the white star on top. I was taking notes all yesterday with the usual Slimline. Today, I'll use the 146. Excuse the messy photo, working crazy hours. The pen is shiny and not scratched up but the picture looks weird.
