What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase?

Recently purchased a pair of 146s; a 90th Anniversary with a F nib and a Platinum Trim with a B nib. The pens came with complementary ink; Midnight Blue and Burgundy Red. Both pens and inks are a gift, so I won't have any pictures of the pens themselves. Other than that, I snagged a bottle of Albert Einstein for myself. Sadly, they didn't have any more Alfred Hitchcock, or I would've purchased it in a heartbeat.

Nice acquisition. I usually get notified of sales by my local boutique. It is a great way of picking up some great pens for excellent prices. I hope you enjoy yours for years to come.

Thanks, enjoying it!

I woke up today with no plans to buy a pen, much less two. But when opportunity knocks, I tend to answer. I just need to stop going out in search of opportunity and her shaky hand! :)

On their way to me are an MB Balzac and a 146 75th limited edition. Both with fine nibs.

So much for paying bills...

Thank you da vinci. I have not handled a Balzac since it came out, but I like the gray color of the body. I am sure it will be pleasant enough to use. I am also a huge sucker for the MOP stars. I really was on the fence about another 146 sized pen, but I could not pass the deal.

Sorry. I'll let you know if I change my mind and sell it. It was definitely an impulse buy. :^)

I got these 2 from an add in the local paper, it´s a danish 246 (piston filler) and a "2" bandless (button filler) also danish, they were both very dirty and encrusted in old ink, and judging from the sellers pics i was planning on using them for spareparts.

When i got them cleaned they looked a lot better and i decided to get them to write again, the 246 had a damaged penol nib, which i changed for a good penol ambassador nib (untill i get the right MB nib), which is smooth as glass to write with , it also needed a new cork, and that was about it.

The "2" only needed a new sac, and a nib adjustment before it was ready to write again, unfornutately has it got the wrong clip, but i hope that i can find the right one some day.

I allready have the exact same pens (in better shape though), but i got these for a price i could´nt say no to.

Nice pens! You could contact Francis and ask him if he has a clip for that no 2 button filler. He managed to find me a clip for a wartime 334 1/2 and a Spanish no. 42.
